Brian Simmons appears to be lying. This is a real specific example and it's a big deal because it goes to the credibility of his translation as well as his own character. This is the author of The Passion Translation of the Bible (it's not good).

Last week I learned that Brian Simmons has a yacht, which makes sense because his "non-profit" Passion & Fire Ministries owns a beach house parsonage inside the Redington Shores Yacht and Tennis Club gated community.

How can you be this misinformed?

If you watched my video on Brandon Biggs you’d know he’s a false prophet who is dangerously to people. You should also watch it because it’s at 777k views.

"It's not good" is a very kind understatement. The Passion Translation is an ABOMINATION.

I trashed mine after I learned about it. Literally destroyed it. AND I wouldn't sit under any 'pastor' who teaches from it.

I loved the Passion Translation at first exposure. I gifted it to family members. When I started to read it more, some things made me go "hmmm..." Looked into it more and realized it was not a translation and was inserting viewpoints that went beyond what the Word says.

Another very dangerous translation is "The Mirror" translation. I wish someone would address that heretical book.

Done

Brian Simmons represents what arguably could be the greatest perpetual assault against the simple true doctrine of Salvation by grace through faith, alone. ...a fake Bible Of which, countless ...millions in the future will build false faith on The #NARcult continues to mutate

Man…..he did lie. Tony Hawk would be proud of the 180 this guy pulled off.

I don't understand how you can go on a show like Sid Roth which is heard by many say an angel came to you that's how you got the name and deny it later it's exactly what politicians do with no shame

YOu did a series of YouTubes several years ago on TPT that was really eye opening.

Promoted by Bethel and Bill Johnson… coming from progressive theology - I hate false teachings. I struggle every week with the Bethel songs sung - no one seems to care what Bethel is doing because they like their songs. Why is this??

Yeah I watched. Brian didn’t say what you said he said. Typical. You appear to be lying.

Well, if that portion of audio recording is legit then we're talking a 5 star, liar-liar-pants-on-fire level deception.

It’s real. Here’s the source.

Thanks. I wasn't doubting you, just by way of expression regarding the messed up-ness of this dude.

The internet never forgets.

There is NO credibility to his "translation " because it ISNT one.

No, he did not say an Angel named Passion help him write the Passion translation on Sid Roth. Bearing false witness is a serious matter. I don’t know this man nor have I read this translation.

There does seem to be a difference between saying an angel helped him translate vs. a vision of an angel effectively exhorting him to do his work

It really shouldn’t be referred to as a translation. He didn’t translate anything. It’s a blatant twisting of God’s word in order to justify the false doctrines of the NAR.

I ran this video through grok beta 4.2 to analyze using 4 reasoning agents, using law, laws of discourse and science. It concludes. Empirically lied 100%. Im glad he recanted. I bought the TPT, never really read it. Its not a translation, its paraphrase.

Brian says it’s not a paraphrase and that it’s a translation direct from the originals.

@ResearchGate4 He is lying or delusional. Brian does esegesis, please explain @grok, compare to the NASB1995 and the Living Bible.

Eisegesis means reading one's own ideas into the Bible text versus exegesis which draws out the original meaning. Critics argue Brian Simmons Passion Translation does this by adding emotive language and interpretations not directly from the originals. For comparison the NASB 1995 is a literal word for word translation from the Hebrew Greek and Aramaic texts. The Living Bible is a readable paraphrase based on an English version. TPT claims to be a translation but is often seen as an interpretive paraphrase that amplifies passion. The video highlights inconsistent statements from Simmons regarding an angel named Passion inspiring the translations name.

I refuse to get it. I read from NKJV. My pastor uses it all the time. He wants us to use it too & The Message Bible. Nope! I don't get anything out of it when I hear it used.

YOU ARE WORSE THAN A LITTLE GIRL! I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DEBATE !

Typical Charismatic nonsense. 🤦♂️

Love the Passion Translation- do not really care about your opinion.

I think one of your YouTubes said that Brian had said that Jesus was revealing to him a 22nd chapter of the Gospel of John.

Forgive me, I might have missed it somewhere, I’ve heard you mention the passion translation is not good several times but can you explain how/why/in more detail? I have a friend who loves it. Would love to understand more. Thanks ☺️

Thank you

I erroneously claimed the passion translation talks about hamburgers. That's actually "the message" translation. My mistake.

Brother Mike, you forgot to put "translation" in quotes.

I am so tired. I feel like I can’t trust anyone anymore.

@LauraLynnTT Truth is so needed in the Church at this hour!

Mike, the TPT sounds like the Message Lite.

I sat right next to this dude on cruise ship last fall and had no idea who he was. People lined up to meet him and have lunch with him.

Simmon Is a charlatan AND a grifter. End of story

Seem to recall J dubs. And another group who were talked to by angels….

I burned my Passion translation when the Lord opened my eyes to the truth!
