Simple Solution: - Bruno G has to stay goal-side. If he does, everything mentioned is null. - Or, Calafiori has to stick to his choice of blocking the shot and take an extra step forward into the path and let Gabriel deal with Ayari's underlap. 2-0 Charalampos Kostoulas - Brighton counter and Calafiori, Odegaard and Bruno are too high up and unable to track back in time. - Gomez drives and is able to find a poorly tracked Kostoulas. - Gomez was pressed too aggressively by Tzolis, allowing him to gain a yard on him and force Gabriel to drop a yard for security regarding the Gomez overlap. - Konsa has to be tighter to Kostoulas as he has taken responsibility. - Poor tracking from Konsa, poor from Tzolis to jump so aggressively, unlucky from Gabriel as he has two jobs at once due to errors from both. Simple Solution: - Shift over and let Gabriel deal with Kostoulas. Rice should press towards Gomez and let Tzolis drop into a comfortable position in the defensive line. 2v2 on the opposite flank with Timber and Konsa vs Ayar and De Cuyper. Verdict Good goals. Unlucky to concede them. Defensively poor as a collective to allow the shots. At the end of the day it was 0.11xG total for both shots. 0.05xG for Gross and 0.06xG for Kostoulas. I might be exaggerating here, but we don’t concede a lot and I remember every time we concede from shots, I almost always go “ah we should press the ball carrier and engage the shooter there and not just standing in a static box”.

Did we failed to execute all our strategies against Brighton high press, or we lacked any plan B, C etc. to solve Brigthon high press? 2. Is Brighton high press a unique tactical set up that other teams can copy and use to defeat Arsenal seeing they scored 3 goals? 3. Was this just a glitch in the system and not a system failure i.e. the team just had an off day mostly due to poor execution and overall poor play and nothing to worry about?

I think Arteta deliberately chose not to let either of the two center-backs come out for the shot. Statistically, you're unlikely to concede from a long-range shot, and staying back prevents you from being caught out of position during a dribble or a one-two

Absolutely true but the space afforded is poor. Its an issue we definitely have. There are a lack of runners and one defender needs to commit to a decision sooner.

Bruno was just terrible in this game. I saw exactly the same problems as you and there are many more instances on the game where he made wrong decisions and got out of position giving Brighton opportunities

Konsa and Gabriel have the same mind set, they play the same way, that needs to change. One needs to be more high and tight than the other
