⚡ RECIPE TO PROTECT YOURSELF IF YOU WORK IN AN OFFICE 1️⃣ 🌞Morning Sunlight = Non-negotiable If your job starts after sunrise, spend 10–15 minutes outside looking at the sky. Doesn’t matter if it’s raining, snowing, or cloudy; infrared light still passes through and starts your circadian clock through the eyes. No sunglasses, no screens. Andrew Huberman on why you can't think your way out of stress: Huberman is asked what he means when he says you cannot control the mind with the mind. His answer reframes how we should approach stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation entirely. "If you're very upset, it's hard to talk yourself out of it. If you're stressed, it's hard to think yourself out of it." He explains that when we're in heightened emotional states, we tend to default to mental strategies, rationalizing, "third personing" ourselves, texting a friend, trying to reason our way back to calm. But according to Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D., this rarely works: "It's very hard to get yourself out of those states with thinking alone." The solution, he argues, lies not in the mind but in the body. "The beauty of the autonomic nervous system is that it traverses the brain and the body and it connects to essentially all the organs of the body. And it's a two-way street such that certain behaviors, even certain patterns of breathing etc. allow us to shift between very very alert and stressed and very calm." This two-way street is the key insight. The body doesn't just receive signals from the brain, it also sends them back. Shifting your physiology shifts your mental state, which in turn shifts the kinds of thoughts and actions available to you. "If you're very very stressed, you're very very upset, two things happen. One, it's very hard to take your focus off whatever it is that's upsetting you. And if you don't know what's upsetting you, you know, pure anxiety, but you don't know why, it's very hard to take your mind off of the feelings of anxiety." In other words, anxiety hijacks your attention and then traps you there. Trying to think your way out only tightens the grip. The way out is to move through the body first: "If we turn to the body and certain behaviors, we are able to move ourselves along the autonomic continuum. And at that point, when we've done that successfully, we are able to think about things differently." "If you can't control the mind with the mind, look to the body to control the mind."

tl;dr - don't buy anything from Asus. they have the most awful customer service I've EVER experienced in my life. I have 2 screens which are the same model (VG279QM), which suffered from the same issue after barely 2 years of owning the screens: the screens had a severe brightness reduction (more than 50%~). I tried everything I possibly could to fix it myself. I then opened an RMA to Asus on 7th of Dec. 2025 for both screens, warranty still valid. A month(!) later (4th of Jan. 2026) I get a technician coming to my house to fix only 1 monitor of the 2. He replaces the monitor's back panel card + the monitor panel itself, the issue remains. I tell him 'the power brick wasn't replaced, can't that cause this?' and he goes 'there's no way that's the source of the problem', followed by saying that it looks like the screen is fine. It's obviously not fine and I told him that, he consulted with a manager which said it's fine and resolved (lol). I had to go back and forth with them and I didn't let go. The technician came back the next day (5th of Jan) to 'fix' the 2nd monitor (he didn't actually do anything to it). He took videos of the screen when it's on, and had one of his managers literally SHOUT at me shamelessly (she was the karen I talked about on my previous post here btw) because I asked him to take off his shoes before entering my room (I have a carpet). He then involved another mangager that saw the issue and said 'I've never seen anything like this' and then told the technician to 'bring them to the lab'. I get only 1 monitor back 3 days later (8th of Jan.) and guess what was the solution? the power brick. Now I'm waiting for the 2nd to come by, surely it will return functional...SURELY. Bottom line, Asus has an ABYSMAL customer service & an abysmal technical knowledge in the products they support. Here's a clip of me even talking about this from my stream BEFORE the screens were picked up from my place (stream 4th of Jan. - screens picked up 5th of Jan.) & pictures showing the issue they were referring to. Never buying Asus products again, and you shouldn't either with how they treat their customers. I just wanted you guys to be aware of this🩷

Supreme Court deliberates healthy flock's fate at Universal Ostrich Farm For nine months, I’ve been covering the battle between a B.C. ostrich farm and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency — an agency determined to destroy nearly 400 healthy birds and the farmers’ livelihoods with a cull order issued last December. Morgan. I'd like to welcome Scott Wisniewski, President and Chief Strategy Offer of ASTS Space Mobile. Scott, thanks for joining us. Thank you for having me. You're good. You're live. Can you hear me? All right. Thank you for having me. Great. So, Scott, just to start, let's zoom out. As you sit here in mid-2026, with Bluebirds launching, commercial service activation approaching, and the government pipeline accelerating, where are you spending most of your time as President and Chief Strategy Officer? And more broadly, what are your two to three highest priority objectives over the next 18 months as you transition from what has primarily been an R&D and manufacturing story into a scaled revenue-generating operating company? Thank you. And for those who don't know us that well, we were founded about a decade ago around the direct-to-device opportunity. That's what we do. That's our entire strategy. It's from space, of course, and we build our own satellites, and we'll be operating them and selling capacity on them. But at its core, we are a direct-to-device pure play. And over the years, I met our founder in January 2019, but over the years, telling our equity story, people always asked three questions. Does it work? Can you fund it? And how big will the market be, or will there be a market? And that's our traditional private company questions that we still got even as a public company for a while, and we really retired those risks in 2023, 2024, and 2025. And so this year, yeah, you're exactly right. Traditional growth stuff, scaling stuff is where we are. And for us, if I were to say two simple things, one is network deployment. The vast majority of the folks in the company are focused on exactly that, network deployment now for revenue in 2026 and 2027 and beyond. And then the second one is, I think, building the market out in the right way. This is a brand new service. It's a service that is at the very heart of connectivity. Remember, we all know the trends in connectivity. When I started my career in connectivity, there was a question, bubble, what inning are we in? When is the expansion going to end? And then, of course, AI comes along, and there's always something every couple of years. So for us, we're at the heart of connectivity. We can do coverage better than any terrestrial footprint by its very nature. And making connectivity work for our partners, the mobile network operators, and ultimately for the consumer mass market among other markets, is our focus. So building out that market is our second priority. Great. And let's address the news from last week. AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile announced a proposed joint venture to extend mobile connectivity using satellite-based D2D technologies. You guys put out a statement commending the announcement. Unpack this for us. What does this mean for ASTS in practice? Does it change your commercial positioning with the carriers? Does it accelerate or maybe even complicate your path to service? So we really value the carrier relationship. We've organized the business, the technology, the go-to-market strategy. Everything we do, really, is about making connectivity better for the mobile network operators. And so you see that in where we've prioritized the company over the years. You see that in how we've built out the tech. And even the network stack is organized with the RAN on the ground, so the operators control it. So that's really been our focus. If the country still does not wake up, then the people of this country themselves will suffer the consequences later. Our younger generation will have no future left, and the situation will become extremely serious. That is why the responsibility of the younger generation is the greatest today, because history will not forgive them either. Tomorrow they will be asked what they were doing as young people when all this was happening in the country. The Congress is the party of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Sardar Patel, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Babasaheb Ambedkar's era. It is because of the Constitution framed by them that the country is functioning today. Indira Gandhi laid down her life, but did not allow Khalistan to be created. Rajiv Gandhi was martyred because he wanted to establish peace across the entire subcontinent, including Sri Lanka. He gave his life, but kept the country united and intact. But what is the thinking of the people in power today? Their thinking is weakening the country. They are deliberately carrying out religious polarisation. There are 403 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, but you do not give even a single seat to a Muslim candidate, and yet call yourselves a national political party! At least you could have given five seats just to show the people of the country. But you want to project that 'we are a purely Hindutva party.' Poor Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi defended the BJP so effectively for such a long time; Shahnawaz Hussain was a minister, but today you have made all of them sit at home. Those whose thinking is simply to provoke Hindutva supporters and rule ,if a towering leader like Indira Gandhi were alive today, she would have imposed a ban on a party like the BJP. Will you run a party solely on the agenda of Hindutva? Do you want to do politics only in the name of Hindus? What is written in our Constitution? The Constitution on which you took your oath speaks of respecting all religions, all castes and all sections of society. You cannot do politics in the name of religion, but today this is happening openly. I remember that when Bhairon Singh Shekhawat contested an election from Bali, a few words regarding the Ram Temple slipped out of his mouth. He won the election and later became Chief Minister, but someone filed a case against him in the High Court. The case was so serious that he could have lost his Assembly membership. Later, he stopped the main witness on a bus during the journey, explained things to him with police assistance, or did whatever was done, and only then was he able to get out of trouble. What I want to say is that there was a time when even merely invoking religion during an election was prohibited; you could not bring religion into it. And look at the present times, when even the role of the Election Commission is being questioned. Today, people are being openly incited in the name of religion across the country. Now neither does anyone speak about this misuse of religion, nor is anyone approaching the courts over it. Everyone has seen that the country's system and thinking have changed. What I want to say is that there was a time when even merely invoking religion during an election was prohibited; you could not bring religion into it. And look at the present times, when even the role of the Election Commission is being questioned. Today, people are being openly incited in the name of religion across the country. Now neither does anyone speak about this misuse of religion, nor is anyone approaching the courts over it. Everyone has seen that the country's system and thinking have changed. The country is now moving along this path.If a leader like Indira Gandhi were alive today, she would have banned a party like the BJP: If the country has to be saved, if the nation's democracy has to be saved, then I must say that the dangerous atmosphere prevailing in the country today is unlike anything I have seen in my 50 years of political life. All of you senior people sitting here would agree with this. I am saying with full responsibility that the atmosphere today is extremely dangerous. If the country still does not wake up, then the people of this country themselves will suffer the consequences later. Our younger generation will have no future left, and the situation will become extremely serious. That is why the responsibility of the younger generation is the greatest today, because history will not forgive them either. Tomorrow they will be asked what they were doing as young people when all this was happening in the country. The Congress is the party of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Sardar Patel, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Babasaheb Ambedkar's era. Poor Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi defended the BJP so effectively for such a long time; Shahnawaz Hussain was a minister, but today you have made all of them sit at home. Those whose thinking is simply to provoke Hindutva supporters and rule ,if a towering leader like Indira Gandhi were alive today, she would have imposed a ban on a party like the BJP. Will you run a party solely on the agenda of Hindutva? Do you want to do politics only in the name of Hindus? What is written in our Constitution? The Constitution on which you took your oath speaks of respecting all religions, all castes and all sections of society. What a terrible loss that would be! A kitchen is where health begins, where families gather, where food is not just fuel but memory, love, and connection. There is something deeply satisfying about the sound of a knife slicing through a crisp, fresh vegetable just plucked from the garden. The gentle crackle of mustard seeds in hot oil, the soft gurgle of daal simmering on the stove, the aroma of curry leaves and a pinch of hing blooming in pure desi ghee, these are the small, everyday miracles of a home-cooked meal. In a world rushing toward convenience, where kitchens are shrinking and takeout boxes pile up, I find myself increasingly drawn to the quiet, grounded rhythm of growing my own food, cooking, and eating at home. It is a return to something ancient, something real. Having grown up in Goa, I always loved the taste of home grown fruits and vegetables. Even when I lived in a tiny flat in Mumbai as a single working woman, I had planted tomatoes, curry leaves and green chillies in pots in the balcony. Growing your own vegetables for personal use doesn’t need land, all it needs is dedication and love for green things! My stay at Vaidyagrama last November changed my eating pattern for the better. The simplicity of their meals, their careful attention to ingredients, the way food was treated as medicine as per Ayurveda guidelines, all made sense in a way I had never considered before. So, we changed a few things in our kitchen. We already grew our own vegetables, but now the focus is on cooking small quantities, just enough for one meal. So on most days, our meals begin not in the fridge, but in the soil. A handful of spinach leaves, some tender gourds hanging off the vine, a few okras still dewy from the morning mist, firm, juicy red tomatoes freshly plucked just enough for today’s meal. I often do the plucking myself and I cannot describe the quiet thrill of it, this connection to the earth, this knowledge that what we eat was grown with in our own soil, without a drop of chemicals! Over the years, I have grown different kinds of fruits and vegetables in my garden, at times even achieving that Nirvana state when only the grains, cereals, condiments and oil is bought, and all vegetables and fruits are home-grown. I realise that I am extremely privileged to be able to have this ability, but even if you have buy the vegetables, make home cooking a part of your routine. Hire a cook if you have to, but cooking at home ensures better health for everyone in the family, because you can control what goes into your stomach. Cooking at home is a ritual of care. I know exactly what oil we use, how much salt we add, how little sugar we consume. I have swapped refined vegetable oil for cold-pressed coconut oil and mustard oil. I use Saindhav Namak and rock salt instead of iodised salt. Maida and white sugar are almost entirely gone from the table. We eat by 7:30 pm whenever we can. If I must eat out while traveling, I follow a simple rule. I start with a katori of daal or sambar, eat lightly in the evening if lunch was heavy and have just soup or fruits, Small, mindful shifts that have changed everything. And the results? More energy, better digestion, deeper sleep. I feel lighter, clearer, more in tune with my body. This is no magic, no extreme diet, no expensive supplements.
