Brilliant arguments by J. Sai Deepak on reservation & caste: – Caste discrimination is real, don’t pixelate it. But discrimination of every kind has always existed. Fixating the lens only on caste while ignoring others is selective outrage. – The core problem is the state officially freezing caste categories... show more

Discrimination and abuse is a law and order issue. Because the state is incompetent and unable to build strong law and order institutions that is supposed to go through case by case basis, they came up with retarded laws like SC/ST acts blanket demonizing one community.

No, that’s not completely true. It’s a societal issue. And if the gov makes strict rules, it becomes discriminatory in nature just like what we have right now. Rules alone can’t fix this issue.

Neutral enforcement of law is not discrimination. In US there are anti hate laws but race agnostic can applied irrespective of perpetrator race. Because they have institutions. India is a pseudo democracy if the law presumes one category as a default victim. Its not equality.

Here are some solutions from my side. We all know the problem, and everyone is only discussing the problem. Instead, we should focus on solutions. Plz suggest some solutions too.

Brilliant!

Thanks 🙏

The reservation has still not reached the natives of this land. If so the state administrations would have been filled by them as per their population %. The upper creamy jobs were stolen by the 10% EWS recently too...

How many more years do you need? Mark my words, it will never reach the truly deserving candidates…Boz it only keeps benefiting the top 1% across every caste.

Along with the upper castes of natives, U cannot just take Brahmin Varna, also count in their Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudra groups. They are also stealing the reservation of the native indigenous. Also the native identity stolen Matrilineal Brahmo Samaj groups.

Why are u using this native word again and again?

We need to move to a caste-less society

Bt how is it even possible? When they're enjoying all sorts of state-sponsored benefits, why would anyone leave this privilege? The same applies to the opposite side too.

When you realise the political system of current times is only aimed towards electoral gain with no long term societal outlook

Yes, agree and that's the problem. If we don’t speak up then this will continue for eternity.

He is just brilliant

Yes, he is so articulate and sticks to the point. He never shouts, plays the victim card, or does whataboutery just pure substance. Whether u agree with him or not, u still listen boz he speaks with real passion.

He's a lawyer that's his job

He is brilliant

why is this athiest charlatan ranga is invited in all such events? That joker is fan of BRA and has openly advocated reservation in pvt sector

No, he basically opposes pvt reservation…see my second last post.

chameleoon ranga changed his color it seems

👏 👏 👏

Thanks 🙏

Anyone who cares about this nation will instantly understand how sick it is to make our institutions and regulators a mere tool for social justice goals. They should be completely apolitical and purely competitive in their recruitment.

@d3adbutwork1ng Agree, but our whole vote-bank mechanism depends on that… and some parties’ entire identity is based on caste. So yes, practically we should reward meritocracy…but it is not possible right now, at least.

The J probably stands for Jāhil, but anyway: (1) No one is focusing on caste alone. Straw man. (2) No, the problem is the continued existence of caste and the inequalities that persist after centuries of undeserved privilege enjoyed by a few over the many. (3) Lmao no. It's as stupid as saying "you can't demand women's equality with men and ask for separate restrooms for men and women". (4) Hindu society was never unified in the first place. Hinduism is nothing more than an aggregate of castes and they only come together to assault minorities. Hindu unity is a usual upper caste trick to gain numbers because they know that by themselves they don't have the numerical strength to take on Muslims. Islām(-ophobia) is what unites "Hindus". (5) Agreed. Caste cannot be annihilated without utterly annihilating Hinduism. (6) See #4.

Yes there is oorki jehadi claiming to be Rajput, We give a damn !! He's justa Jehadi for us.

They know who their friends and enemies are… not like us.

Tariq Jameel.

Yeah, I know him

This is completely enlightening for troublemakers like the Meshrams, though expecting them to grasp it is another story— wisdom requires a mind prepared to receive it @EndOfBJParty

@grok can you tell me that what year Mr. Sai Deepak has trying to say tell me as it is without twisting any of the words

As long as caste can be used in temples, caste will be the basis of reservation Both sides wont back down There is no political leader who would gamble on this

Reservation is a joke...all castes are competing to be classified as backward ..so basically we will end up with all castes except Brahmins in the reservation quota Also what no one talks about is the cost of monitoring and implementing these quotas

problem is brahmins and their racism and their colluive monopolsies and theiranti development mindset

u’re just doing exactly what Deepak said, generalising the whole thing and making a sweeping statement against an entire community.

anyone who identifies themselves as brahmin is evil (or plain stupid or both) in my view given how they destroyed India with caste system and their culture of freeloading. @_amitbehere

@ra48995 Yes, Brahmin is a birth based supremacist identity. Just identifying yourself has a Brahmin is like identifying yourself as a Nazi or KKK.

@ra48995 same is true for other upper castes, of course.

@ra48995 Yes Whoever practices caste system incl lower castes . But more on UC because of the privilege deficit

Caste system cannot be fixed , you can easily change relegions but not caste . Only way is to get rid of the relegion itself, convert all to a new Indian relegion or to Christianity. Teach all hindu books like Ramayanam, Mahabharat, Bagwad Gita in schools.

The bias and the bias induced actions are justified based on varnashrama dharma belief. As long as the belief exists, the minds will be biased hence discrimination will exist. Hence the fixed representation and freedom for separate institutions for the minorities.

You are mixing two things together. What about those meritorious students who have nothing to do with these things? How can you make a developed nation when you can’t reward merit?

Yes,they already have 50% seats including 10% for economically backward.Even if you make 100% there will still be some who cannot get what they wish, reservation is not the problem.Developed nation is possible only when people drop varna belief, developed societies dont have it.

@neha_laldas @ajeetbharti @RHAreforms

Hmm 😒

Why changing caste is not allowed by constitution while it's allowed in hindu Dharma. Isn't it violation of my religious rights, that I am.not able to follow my religion.

this thread sounds deep but it's mostly vibes, couple things: "caste is just discrimination like any other" no, it's a hereditary ranking system enforced by community for centuries, that's the whole reason it needed a separate legal remedy, flattening it into "discrimination in general" is how you dodge the actual point "state is freezing caste categories" bro the state didn't invent caste, birth did, the SC/ST list exists to target relief not create the hierarchy, scrap the list and caste just becomes untrackable "can't oppose birth-based varna while wanting birth-based reservation" one is a system ranking you from birth, the other is treatment for damage caused by that ranking, that's not a contradiction that's just... treating an injury "nobody's actually pursuing caste annihilation, it's all jati vote bank politics" SC 2024 Davinder Singh verdict literally created sub classification within SC/ST so benefits go to the most backward within the category instead of getting cornered by dominant sub castes and pushed creamy layer exclusion too, that's the annihilation adjacent move being fought over right now and half the pushback against it is from politicians on all sides, not "the same voices" this thread is vague posting about what he said is basically "both sides do it so let's not fix anything"

The contradiction isn't "reservation exists." The contradiction is demanding that society reject every birth-based identity as unjust while insisting that State permanently allocate rights based on birth. If birth-based classification is inherently unjust, then there must also be a serious conversation abt the exit strategy not just its expansion. Treating an injury is justified. Making the treatment permanent without defining the endpoint is a different debate.

fair, this is a better version of the argument than the first post, but there kind of already is an exit mechanism, it's just not the one people assume. reservation isn't one monolithic thing: political seat reservation (article 334) literally has a sunset clause built in. it expires every 10 years and parliament has to vote to renew it. that's happened repeatedly since 1960, most recently to 2030. so "no endpoint" isn't true there, there's a recurring checkpoint, it just keeps getting renewed because the underlying representation gap hasn't closed job/education reservation has no sunset clause, that's true but the 2024 SC sub-classification ruling is functionally an exit-strategy mechanism for that side, it's the court forcing periodic reassessment (empirical data required, creamy layer exclusion) instead of a flat forever quota. that's literally "define who no longer needs treatment and taper them out" happening in real time

Reviewing who gets reservation is different from deciding when reservation should end. Sub classification only decides who gets the benefit, not when caste based policies should stop. If the aim is to remove caste divisions, what is clear condition after which the State will stop using caste as a category? That question still remains.
