🚨🚮 BRING BACK OUR BINS! Several weeks ago, litter bins were removed from multiple locations along Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Road.

When the IRA were active bins were removed all across London as they were a safety risk with bombs. We have just seen Trafalgar Square surrounded with barriers.......coincidence? Just saying.....

There’s a reason for this up and down the country. It’s to drive the country further into the cesspit

Further enshittification of towns and cities of this once great country. Gradually becoming the 3rd world shitholes Labour want them to be one day at a time.

Since then, the local Labour councillors representing Clapham and Stockwell have repeatedly raised concerns and called for their reinstatement in full.

Despite multiple requests, Lambeth Council now says it will “not be reinstating some of the bins that were removed.”

This is not good enough. Many residents and businesses have reported an increase in rubbish in the affected areas, particularly around busy Overground and Underground stations.

We therefore urge Lambeth Green Party to reinstate all our litter bins as soon as possible to help to keep our neighbourhood clean and welcoming for all. 👉 Back our petition to help bring back our bins! #bringbackourbins @LambethLabour

I just don't understand the British system. Nobody seems to actually ever vote for or like the people on their council. They act like the public doesn't actually matter so I'm just confused. Who are these people. Who appoints them. And why are they allowed a single night of rest?

They want you to live like third-worlders who dump their rubbish in the streets. The council will then send out community officers to fine you for littering.

Is having no bins really better? In most busy urban areas, probably not. Bins don’t cause litter—people do. Well-placed bins, regular collections and enforcement against those who still litter are usually a far better solution than simply removing them.

councils in this country think council tax is THERE money and they waste it all of golden pensions.

Remove the bins, remove the trees, it’s all part of the planned managed decline.

If only the Borough Council could do something….

It’s to make the “immigrants” feel at home & more welcome, by inticing them to litter, like they used to back home. Next on the list is to remove all toilets.

They've been removing bins from areas for ages then complaining about littering. Why? Because why pay workers when you can fine the public?

Japan doesn't really have public bins at all, and that's one of the cleanest places in the world. Imagine not being a lazy fucker.

Same issue in Camden, bins overflowing, told we can't have more bins or collections

Perhaps this is the problem?

The best part of about this is the inevitable increase in litter can be blamed on immigrants

why would bins be taken? it will make the area a dump.

The Bins are a Terrorist threat. They're not telling you that because, apparently, diversity is our strength. Notwithstanding, it is quite unpleasant when a mixture of gas and metal fragments sear through your limbs at high velocity.

I thought I was bugging the other day looking mad long for a bin

our council spent what i can imagine is 10,000s of our money on putting in 4 bins that use a huge foot pedal and speak to you when you use them, for some reason. that takes the total number of huge bins to 6 in a 100ft strip walk, come and have some of them
