I still have scar from my secondary school louvre cut . Abeg it was a hazard

This already solved the problem bro ….why do you want to stress yourself ?

This thought crossed my mind like two weeks.. I researched the possibility of using pvc made louvres instead of glass. Will be on the look out..I'm def going back to some old school building ideas with slight modification...

I’ll take louvres thank you

There are available technologies that can make “plastic” see through like louvers and won’t break or cut.

Louvers make sense when the edges are blunted as you recommended

Louvres are heavier Louvers are more open to rain Slides are tighter for a room with AC COME louvers can be open from outside

For a region like ours, Louvers are the best in my opinion!

As long as e no dey give enough space for thief to pass no wahala

Yes lovers Back please. I’ve been talking about this for ages. Even made a video when I was in Cotonou some months ago.

I thought I was the only one with this idea, #bringbacklouvers

You forgot to mention the amount of dust lt use to trap daily.. Chhhhaaaaaaiiii

@adunoyebasheer Cleaning is a third challenge for louvres. Some people had the land and the resources yet went for the “modern” design. Besides, louvres are even more useful in compact buildings, compared to sliding or swing windows

How about the cleaning. That thing na punishment

The Louvre is not the problem....It's the air quality...We need to start planting trees asap...There also need to be a technology that cleans the dust that gathers on the net..We are running from a lot of things- Mosquito, Thief and so on

Louvers are hard to clean. The easy ventilation merit they have turns into a demerit when confronted with generator noise, smoke or atmospheric dust. Louvers allow everything in.

Can’t the glass sharp side be covered with plastics?

I have been saying this. Louvers is the only window for our clime others are aesthetic trash

What about plastics ? Just thinking

I swear luvas Abi wetin dem dey call am is better

No no no. We just need wider windows. Louvres break a lot and cause a lot of home accidents.

Other than the so called ventilation no other advantage.

Must d louvres be glass or must they have sharp edges?

Bigger windows very lacking lately

I dont think older type houses took longer to build... No curve curve like today houses its all point A to B and left to right

I am an advocate for louvers... I loved it and I still would love it back reformed.

My major problem is maintenance and Nigerians lack the maintenance culture to regularly grease it and also clean it since it open horizontally and accumulate dust easily

Nobody should bring louvred windows back, biko.

Wide windows, please. I think there should be a standard window size in this country, backed by law, because new houses come with the worst ventilation.

Things will creep in through louvres.

My boarding school louvers were made with plywood in the 1970s. Fiber glass or tempered glass will be fantastic

I personally loved the aesthetics of Louvres as well

Louvers for me ooo.

AT LAAAASSSSTTTT FINALLY O
