Last night, another Jewish synagogue in London was firebombed, this time in Kenton. This is the third such attack in as many days, and also comes after the recent ambulance arson attack and a supposed drone threat against the Israeli embassy in London this week. This is now becoming a terrifying spate of daily arson attacks on the Jewish community. It betrays a cataclysmic failure of the state – politicians, police chiefs and prosecutors – to tackle antisemitic extremism in this country, which has gone largely unchecked for two and a half years. Britain is fundamentally a different country now. Still the Government refuses to proscribe Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, an obvious first step to address foreign radicalisation and interference. It is shocking if apparent concern for the sensitivities of a violent Iranian regime is more important to the Government than the welfare of Jewish people in this country.

I have come across several videos of young men sexually harassing girls in the name of content. It is shocking that such acts are being viewed as entertainment. I can not begin to imagine the trauma a girl goes through in such an ordeal, surrounded by boys who, instead of protecting or defending her dignity, stand aside and entertain this diabolic abomination. What then happens if she tries to defend herself? This is why the online space must be regulated. It is no wonder that this year's theme for the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV is: “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.” I am calling on the DCI KENYA to apprehend these boys immediately. Horrendous. Heartbreaking news from Amsterdam. Is this what we have become? Modern day pogrom as we are remembering Kristallnacht. I am in Texas and it is middle of the night here as I write. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. Apparently, though, the Delta State Police have now stepped in and have launched an investigation. Fingers crossed, this is true - a totally necessary first step towards ending this barbarity.

This is a tweet out to the Congress leadership to ask if they are endorsing this sort of behavior on a TV debate or if this mindset is approved by the higher ups. There has been a lot of chatter about women, their dressing, moral Policing, survivor and victim blaming in Telangana / AP after an actor shamed a co actor in a Film event, using cuss words, and then in general on women who don’t dress modestly in public events. It was called an act of ‘concern’. What followed was a lot of Television channels panels with abuse and cuss words - one would have never imagined seeing this on a mainstream TV / News channel. A lot of women responded saying policing women’s clothes is not going to stop sexual assault. This lady here is reportedly, a Congress politician. She says if the actress (she is referring to) has guts, she has to come out in public with a bikini without security guards. The men on the road will eventually want to rape her and she should get raped, shut up and sit at home - she better not dare / bother going to the police station. And if she dares, whatever “half” clothes are left on her body will also be removed and …. I haven’t watched the entire video - however, the scenario here and how they are referring to women in public spaces, in the medi and the level of abuse is setting a dangerous precedent, justifying sexual assault and abuse against children, old women and the dead, saying men are unable to control themselves and therefore, women’s ‘immodest’ clothing is the reason for rapes on kids. We need better politicians and better leaders. This is the pits.

On This Day — May 17, 1939: Britain Appeased the Arabs & Condemned Europe’s Jews to the Holocaust As Jews across Europe were being beaten, robbed & deported after Kristallnacht, Britain joined the side of their persecutors by issuing the infamous White Paper of 1939 — one of the most disgraceful acts of appeasement and betrayal in modern history. First they appeased Hitler at Munich. Then they appeased the Mufti of Jerusalem and Arab violence. At the worst possible moment, Britain illegally slammed the last escape door shut on Europe’s Jews. The White Paper drastically restricted Jewish immigration to a trickle and made any further entry subject to Arab consent — which the Arabs had already made clear would be zero. Jewish land purchases were brutally restricted. This was not policy. This was betrayal. Britain had been granted the Mandate for Palestine by the League of Nations via unanimous international treaty specifically to establish a Jewish national home and encourage close Jewish settlement. The League’s own Mandates Commission reviewed the White Paper and declared it illegal — a clear violation of the Mandate. Britain simply ignored the League and enforced it anyway. The Jews begged for their lives. Britain gave them a death sentence. Hundreds of refugee ships were turned away. British forces fired on many.
