This is a wider, Western - but particularly Anglosphere - issue. Only 4% of historians in American universities vote Republican. In the social sciences the ratio of liberal to conservative professors has gone from 2:1 to 12:1. You are correct. But… just to give you a sliver of hope… as a father of 5 teenagers I can tell you this is reversing already (in Caucasians anyway) as they see what has been done to the memory of their culture. It’s not me pushing it either.

Spot on! Shame on the Tories for not turning this around during their 14 years in power. They could have changed the curriculum to show, for example, that the British Empire was responsible for the spread of democracy around the world as well as common law, industrial revolution all leading to poverty reduction on a large scale. Biased, anti British universities should have had funding removed. The Tories could have done many things to make British people proud of their history but did nothing.
