This is probably the most time you have spent in Clacton, and it is strange to see you walking around pointing out everything that is wrong when you were the MP here for two years. By highlighting these problems now, you are also admitting that many of them were already there while you represented the area. So people have every right to ask what you actually did for Clacton during that time. Furthermore, this is a by election, not a general election. Winning it would not suddenly give you the power to change the whole country, so perhaps the focus should be on looking after the people of Clacton and saving the bigger promises for a general election.
