London has many museums! London has over 170 museums, including 11 national museums, including the British Museum. It also has a third of the UK's archives, including the National Archives, which dates back to the 11th century.

Lots of British men invented alot of things we use everyday in the world!

Stonehenge is older than the pyramids! Located in southern England, Stonehenge is believed to have been built around 3000 BC, making it older than Egypt's pyramids.

Not a major event, but one fact that surprised the bejesus out of me was about Vincent van Gogh and Britain. Yes, the now-famous post-impressionist artist, him of the one ear, absinthe, prostitutes and debated suicide. He lived in England for a while. Surprisingly, he came to England - over the Easter weekend in April 1876. Even more surprisingly, he emigrated to be a teacher, he wasn’t an artist at this stage even though he was very interested in art and his brother was an art dealer. Here is a sketch he made in Ramsgate soon after arriving. Not much of an artist on this evidence ? …

Julius Caesar's invasion of Britain in 54 BC is one of the first recorded events in British history! Caesar described the invasion in his book, and the landing place was recently identified near a beach in southeast England.

HISTORY IS LIFE

Oh my god, this happened.🤔

I finally went to the Pigeon Forge Titanic museum, and this fact kind of blew my mind. The guy who spotted the iceberg not only survived, but lived to the old age of 77 and killed himself. One can only imagine what went through his mind those 53 years.
