1. Like most people, I don't routinely shed tears for the deaths (no matter how tragic) of people I've never met. This isn't being cold, it's being normal. 2. I don't support genocide. I support Israel's right of self defence against the openly genocidal aims of Hamas. 3. The mass forcible movement of people to end conflict has been carried out many times in Europe since WW2, with success. Moving people is horrible but preferable to the "ethnic cleansing" that is mass murder when those are the only 2 options on the table. Happy to help you with this.

She had challenged Chiara Sarti that why, when children were starving in Yemen, or when President Assad was ‘bombing the hell out of his own people’ in Syria, there is ‘all the concern about the people of Gaza, the Palestinian people’. How did you get there?! Hartley-Brewer is one of the few people in the media who expresses sympathy for both sides in this conflict. But she also recognises the realities of war, and is a realist who knows that in a war such as this one has to take sides. On the subject of expressed sympathy, Quds News Network (@QudsNen) doesn’t ever seem to have expressed any sympathy for the more than 6,000 Israelis (including children and babies) raped, mutilated, injured or killed by Hamas and its allies on October 7th. Or the 240 taken hostage by them. You have spent all your energy questioning the testimony of Israeli survivors, and challenging evidence of gang rape. Meanwhile, you accept without question the much less substantial evidence of rape of Palestinian women in Gaza claimed against IDF soldiers. You seem to take a very skewed, amoral, and misleading view of this conflict.

Did you shed a tear for those raped, tortured, and murdered on 7/10?. Did you shed a tear knowing that Hamas had started a war that would result in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians? Did you shed a tear when Hamas refused civilians entry to the tunnels?
