Animals, dogs especially, are loved in the West and many other places for their loyalty, companionship, intelligence, and most importantly, their unconditional love. There is good reason why some people have more respect for their pet than for the average human. And yes, there are also garbage human beings who treat animals with complete disrespect. Any true animal lover will tell you exactly what they think should be done to people like that. No ideology will ever be allowed to dictate where we can bring our animals or tell us we shouldn’t be allowed to have them as part of our family. Their beliefs do not trump the bond we share, and no one will ever tell us we cannot stand by the creatures who trust us and often give more meaning and purpose to life than some humans do.

Working and service dogs have changed the lives of countless Americans. They are far more than companions — they provide protection, independence, healing, and hope. My constituent, Special Operator Jason Morgan, understands this firsthand. Under Sharia law, keeping dogs inside the home is considered unclean or impure. In some cases, this ideology has been used to justify neglect, abuse, and mistreatment. Radical Islamists in America have “joked” about getting rid of dogs in places like New York City, CONVENIENTLY under Mamdani’s mayoral leadership. POV: You’re some dude who decided to jump the White House fence and sprint across the lawn when you see THIS face barreling at you at 937 mph. That literally happened in 2014. Secret Service K9 Hurricane gained myth status after he went to war with a White House intruder. They messed each other up pretty good, too, but Hurricane stopped him. Fast forward a bit—our very good boy became the most decorated K9 in American history. He was awarded the USSS Award for Merit, the Animals in War and Peace Distinguished Service Medal, the Secretary’s Award for Valor from DHS, the PDSA Order of Merit, the Animal Medical Center’s “Top Dog” award, and a bunch more. Stacked. Hurricane retired with his former handler and his family, Marshall and Lisa Mirarchi. They started a nonprofit called Hurricane’s Heroes (Like A Hurricane) that provides vet care for retired law enforcement and military dogs. Long story short, this very good boy could not stop being gooder. Today, March 13, is National K9 Veterans Day, a day set aside to commemorate the service and sacrifices of American military and working dogs throughout history.
