The premise is good, but his counter was, “If you don’t have the spirit of God in you…”. If it’s a message to unbelievers and a call to salvation, great. But it seems like it’s a message to believers. We don’t have more or less of the Spirit of God in us. We are all filled and sealed with the Spirit. The difference in our ability to rest (“bounce back”) is “knowing” the power of the resurrection in us.

He is speaking to both the believers and unbelievers and he is absolutely spot on. One can be a believer with the Holy Spirit and not make Him effective in their lives because of how they live.

I agree. But in his illustration he correlates the ability to “bounce back” with whether or not you have the Holy Spirit, but he never makes the distinction between believer and unbeliever.
