The premise is good, but his counter was, โIf you donโt have the spirit of God in youโฆโ. If itโs a message to unbelievers and a call to salvation, great. But it seems like itโs a message to believers. We donโt have more or less of the Spirit of God in us. We are all filled and sealed with the Spirit. The difference in our ability to rest (โbounce backโ) is โknowingโ the power of the resurrection in us.
He is speaking to both the believers and unbelievers and he is absolutely spot on. One can be a believer with the Holy Spirit and not make Him effective in their lives because of how they live.
