He’s not winning the lawsuit. The officer isn’t required in most states to inform a person of why there were pulled over before asking for identification. Once the driver refused to provide the identification as required by law, the officer is also legally entitled to have the driver exit the vehicle. The driver again refuses which is grounds for arrest.

I was just saying this on a different post. Cops need to be trained differently. They need to understand what a lawful command is, along with providing information to the person being PHYSICALLY handled. I get why people want to defund the police, but I think they should just have a lot better vetting and training.
