Except he should have bought the manual.

Sadly yh

Still looks better than any BMW for sale today.

Ha! Wait until he has to actually start to pay for the repairs and maintenance on it. Then, I bet he won't feel so good about it.

Most likely not a daily drive

Not a BMW guy but always loved the 850s

850s got no enemies

Actually he made the wrong choice, he bought the automatic version..

In Brazil there is a saying, nothing is as expensive as a cheap BMW, the price of buying one can be very low, but the maintenance cost is still as high as a new one, if not higher in some cases of parts scarcity

Crazy!

Where is the touchscreen, and the big knob that controls everything and distracts the driver when adjusting the audio? How did people drive back then?

🤣🤣

POV: when I’ve purchased on old BMW and need to take it in for any maintenance

RIP🤣

Hope he added 1 l of oil before and after the drive

I love that analog is making a comeback

They need to somehow remake this design, forever classic!

It was nice until I got tp 90K. Then every month something else went wrong. Never less than$1000 and had to order parts from Germany. Mine was red. Beautiful machine but reminded me of my ex wife. Always needed more $

Always like the light pops up Hence ny first car I ever bought growing up was a Honda prelude 1989 because of the lights and look Was my favourite

His first substantial repair will likely cost as much as he paid for the entire car.

Haha, hopefully not

That's the first and last time that car gets driven this year

this is when you think aesthetics is your whole life and you're stuck not listening to music in your car that breaks down every two weeks and costs gas like a mf

After filming he drove the car to the repair shop to get checked out for a mystery knocking sound l. Next week he’s scheduled for a full suspension repair. The week after that the car will be at the shop for a week to get rust cleaned out. The list never ends with hobby cars.

Absolutely love my 2024+ Model 3 and I know the car inside out since I was a Tesla mechanic I want the 2025+ Model Y though

He did but when that 4 wheel steer system throws a fault good luck finding someone who can repair it as you can’t buy them anymore…… As shown here

Those 8 series are absolute timeless monsters

Fr man

Just creamed my pants that fuckin 8 is CLEAAAAAAAAN …my dream car.

How do you get parts for it?

What? No infotainment system, no trio of oversized screens, and no driver-assistance systems constantly telling you what to do? Somewhat beautifully old- school.

Chinese spoiled us🤣

I always loved this car and actually could afford one nowadays. But I really fear the repair cost, especially for the V12. I got a 70s US muscle car instead, they are much less troublesome in that regard.

Hehe

The aura is crazy, bro made a right choice

Nice ride. / Issue is availability of repair / replacement parts, on some of these older chariots 🌟 Can be a challenge, so due diligence is in order prior to purchase.

Great car. Wrong transmission

8 series is a notoriously bad car and it’s an automatic..

I had one of these and the maintenance and parts costs were outrageous. Finally got rid of it. Gorgeous car though. Mine.

Dream car from our childhood. Still awesome

@xitijpatel

They look amazing, but those old 840 & 850i's had nightmarish electrical gremlins at times.

Gotta love a 12 cylinder ride 😍

so much style, must be a $PFP holder. 🐸💊🚀
