Everyone please join me in celebrating a very special agent at Matthews™, Ryan Garveigh, who is based out of our Atlanta, GA office. This past June, in his first year in brokerage, at 24 years old, Ryan was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system, and Ryan was immediately started on a chemotherapy plan to treat the disease. I heard about Ryan’s diagnosis shortly after he received it so I called his cell phone to check in on him and tell him we were all thinking of him, and get this… When I was talking to him I asked him “what are you up to right now?” And he replied, “well to be honest, I am currently sitting here getting my first treatment of chemo while making cold calls”… I couldn’t believe it. Dude was getting chemo injected into his veins and yet was still hitting the phones trying to talk to owners, set meetings, and build his business. Ryan was not going to let his cancer diagnosis get in the way of him building the life he envisioned for himself. Needless to say I was beyond inspired and impressed with his mental toughness, and while I told him I appreciated the hustle, I did encourage him to focus on his health, and not let the stress of making “coldies” affect his recovery. Regardless, he ensured me he would take it easy if it became too much… Well fast forward six months, and here is a video Ryan just sent me this morning of him leaving the hospital after completing his full chemotherapy treatment, and I wanted to share the video and good news with all of you. This is a reminder to be grateful for things we take for granted, like our health, it is a reminder that “fair” in life is all a matter of perspective, and it is an example of the mental toughness and lack of victim mentality we are all capable of. Congrats to Ryan. Chemo and coldies, there has been no greater embodiment of the “Matthews Mentality” than this young man. God is good.

Khloé Kardashian reveals why she didn’t speak to her ex husband Lamar Odom for 10 years after their divorce before reuniting with him. She says that after he overdosed and suffered a stroke, she helped him through his rehabilitation, but once he was in a decent place, he started using again. She says she couldn’t understand why he’d do that after she had put so much of her life on hold for him. She adds that seeing him again after 10 years made her realize how much she had outgrown someone she once thought she’d never outgrow. She also expresses how heartbroken she was when one of Lamar’s friend sold his properties she had kept for him over the years. “When we divorced, Lamar was not in a good headspace. So for years i kept a storage unit of his furnitures thinking one day he would want it. He said through his friend who will go unnamed said give him the storage keys and he’ll take it for me. I did so and I found out later down the line that this friend of his sold everything that was in the unit without Lamar knowing and that broke my heart. I wanted to see him and make sure he was doing okay. I didn’t want to do it in public were it’d be a big spectacle, i didn’t want to do it at my house because of the kids. He picked the time and date, he flew in for it. I thought i was totally cool and when he came in he was so nervous. And there will be time in our conversations that i started getting this feelings, little mannerism or things that would flash me back to 10/15 years ago. And i didn’t realize how triggered i was getting from Lamar. We didn’t talk for 10 years because after his overdose Lamar couldn’t walk or talk, he had a significant amount seizures and stroke, and needed to be rehabilitated, i helped him through that journey. And then when he was at a decent place he started using again, from that moment i said i can never see you again. I love Lamar with all my heart, even today. He was like one of the greatest love of my life. When he started using again after such a horrific accident, I couldn’t understand how someone will go do that again. It felt like you punched me in my stomach, I put so much of my life on hold to take care of this person”

When I woke up this morning, Mister didn’t want to get out of bed. I figured he was just exhausted from our fun and exciting day yesterday. But when he still didn’t get up and come do his usual morning routine by the time I’d made coffee, I started getting a little concerned. VERY unusual for him. He’s usually so energetic and excited to go do our morning gardening together, etc. So I got him out of bed and brought him to the livingroom and sat him on the couch with me. He was acting really strange and super lethargic, just curled up in a ball, and his little body kept spasming and twitching. When I tried to stand him up, his little lags just wouldn’t seem to work. So I knew something just wasn’t right with him. 😢 I called the vet and rushed him to Thompson Falls. As the vet was asking me all the questions, before she took him back to examine him, she said, “I have to ask you a hard question; CPR, or do not resuscitate?” Holy cow, that’s when I lost it and just started crying. I said, “Yes, of course resuscitate!” 😭 So then with so much fear and anxiety, thinking the absolute worst, I waited, while they did some blood tests and x-rays, etc. It was at that point that I asked y’all for prayers. I was so freaking scared and sick to my stomach. Mister had to get an IV and some medicines, as it appears he was having some gastrointestinal issues, which was making him not drink any water. So basically he’s a little blocked up and gassy. (Which is what was causing the spasming) And I feel just awful, because it’s most likely from me giving him basically whatever he wants to eat. 😢 (as well as from him eating small parts of his toys.) 🫤 So we have some medicines for him to take for 4 days, and hopefully he will be back to his sweet, mischievous self in no time. 🤞🏼 So after an unexpected $500 veterinary visit 😣, he is still very tired and lethargic, but the spasming is gone, and he seems to be on the mend. 🙏🏼 We basically just need him to have a good💩now. And after spending the whole day at the doggy doctor, we’re gonna take it real easy for the rest of the evening and just cuddle together and watch some puppy shows on the animal channel. 🥹 Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my sweet little guy. 🙏🏼 I’d be absolutely devastated without him. 🥲♥️

Understand this: The movies and shows about the crucifixion have been tame when compared to what He actually went through. Even The Passion Of The Christ was forced to hold back a little in order to avoid an X rating. Crucifixion was, and still is, arguably the most excruciating death someone can experience. The night before in Gethsemane, He was sweating blood. This is known as hematidrosis. This would have caused His skin to become extremely sensitive, thus making the beatings to come even worse. The fear He felt was the beginning of His feeling the weight of our iniquities being laid on Him. Yet - in this moment, He didn’t demand that the Father take it from Him. He only asked for the cup to pass Him over if it was within the Father’s will. Up next came the Cat of Nine Tails, or a Roman Flagrum. This was a weapon with long leather “tails”, each embedded with sharp bones and metal. He was flogged 39 times as Jewish law mandated “40 minus one”, because 40 was said to kill a man. This flogging wasn’t like being punished by your father’s leather belt. Every strike tore flesh, every strike exposed muscle. Every strike exposed nerve endings. Every strike tore flesh to the bone. This would be like getting struck with razor blades over and over again, leading to hypovolemic shock from blood loss. Oh, and the crown of thorns? These weren’t rose thorns. These were thorns which were 2-3 inches long. Beaten into his skull. These thorns would have pierced his skull, tripping the trigeminal nerve, thus causing unimaginable pain and even more blood loss from the dozens of head wounds. At this point, extreme nausea and dizziness would begin to set in. What came next? Carrying the cross. Which weighed around 300lbs. This would be like carrying two full kegs on your back. Splinters and wood grating against the open flesh on His back. And He had to carry it 650 yards, or close to a half mile. Imagine carrying a log on your back after being skinned alive. Up next? He was nailed to the cross with spikes 5-7in in length. Piercing His wrists - this no doubt pierced the median nerve, causing extreme burning sensations up and down His arms. A spike was driven through his ankles - severing nerves and tendons. This would have felt like standing on broken glass every time He pushed Himself up in order to breathe. He suffered for 6 hours. His chest muscles collapsing, making every single breath a fight for life. His shoulders were dislocated, His arms stretching unnaturally long. His heart was struggling to pump blood. He was extremely dehydrated, His lips cracking. His heart more than likely literally ruptured from the stress. And on top of all of that, He had to feel a separation with the Father for a period of time in order to REALLY bear the weight of our sin. He took up this burden for ALL sin before Him, and ALL sin which came after Him. HE DID IT ALL FOR US. To free us. To defeat sin. To give us a pathway to the Kingdom. Every sin we commit is exactly why He had to do it. And the real kicker? He knew what was coming when He rode into Jerusalem … and He didn’t turn around. He kept going. For us.

💥🔎 Alexander Volkanovski, in the most delicate way possible, explains why he believes Diego Lopes has low fight IQ and weak footwork He says Lopes still hasn’t learned how to cut off the cage from both sides, fight effectively as the aggressor, or properly understand distance. “In camp, we were sure his team would work on how to cut off the cage. But you can cut off the cage the wrong way — for example, if you step in too close, you walk straight into my shots. Obviously, I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to circle only one way the whole time, so I thought he’d prepare better to cut me off from both sides. But as soon as I started circling to the right like in the first fight, he got excited — ‘Aha!’ — and immediately tried to cut me off. So I simply switched directions and started moving left. And suddenly there it was — my exit was wide open (laughs). He couldn’t cut me off from there. I could turn freely and get out. I didn’t even have to take risks. I kept turning him from side to side, and whenever he got too aggressive, I punished him. Yeah, he’s good — but maybe he needs more IQ, more footwork, more understanding. People said he was going to cut me off — sure, but would he do it correctly? If you cut too aggressively, you walk into even harder shots. He wasn’t cutting me off properly — he just stepped straight into the angle and ran into my right hand. And even if you do cut me off, I’ve got so many layers in my footwork, so many defensive layers. Honestly, I almost feel bad for him because I’m probably the worst matchup for him. And not enough time had passed since the first fight for him to truly prepare. When he came forward as the aggressor, he wasn’t in position. He was blitzing, forcing it, trying to cut me off — and I kept countering him with heavy shots. Cutting the cage correctly is an art. He was chasing me, which made it hard for him to structure his offense. I kept turning him. He’d end up square [both toes pointing forward], thinking we were about to trade — and I’d already be gone. I kept turning him and hitting him when his feet weren’t set, before he was ready to throw. It’s like he’s used to hitting pads — the target stands in front of you, you throw, it steps back, resets, and you throw again. But when you’re cutting off the cage, your feet have to be underneath you. He talked a lot about how much he improved since our first fight, how everything got better. Against Jean Silva he looked great — the wrestling helped him win easily. But when it came to using IQ, footwork, understanding… It felt like someone just gave him a basic plan — be patient, use the jab — but there was no real strategy behind it. Okay, you’ll be patient and throw a jab, but you still don’t understand distance or footwork. He didn’t get better since the first fight. I didn’t see any growth.” 🎥 Demetrious Johnson

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Charlotte NC man who was PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED of M*RDER was LET OUT OF JAIL ON BOND by a judge for possessing a weapon... ...AND 84 MINUTES LATER he sh0t 2 men IN THE BACK and K*LLED ONE OF THEM His name is David Simpson and he was sitting in the Mecklenburg County Jail on a warrant for possessing a WEAPON. He posted a $10,000 bond. The doors opened at 12:21 in the morning. At 1:45 AM, 84 minutes later, he sh0t 2 men at the Country Club Apartments on Dunlavin Way. One de*d at the scene. One in the hospital. Investigators say surveillance video shows Simpson walking up BEHIND both men and firing twice. Why? A PARKING SPOT. The victim lived a few doors down and had parked in the spot in front of Simpson's door. That's it. That's the whole reason. In 2013, Simpson was charged with FIRST-DEGREE M*RDER for shooting Richard Bonds during a fight in an uptown parking lot. He pleaded it down to voluntary manslaughter. He served ONLY FIVE YEARS. He was out in 2020. His record and found TEN more notable arrests AFTER that release!!!! I found 9 separate sets of charges in the last 3 years alone. He has literally been charged OVER AND OVER with possession of a firearm by a felon. A man who already k*lled someone. Who is BARRED BY LAW from touching a gun. Who kept getting caught with one anyway. ...AND SOMEHOW A JUDGE SAW ALL OF THIS AND LET A MAN OUT ON BOND???????????? He refused to even come to court Friday morning!!!!!! A judge had to ORDER HIM BACK that afternoon!!! WHY WAS HE LET OUT OF JAIL??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!

Yesterday I made a halt at a petrol pump. I spent a few minutes there getting fuel, using the restroom, drinking water etc. When I was about to leave, I saw this man looking at me but I didn’t think much of it. Second time the gaze was a bit longer but still I didn’t feel any threat. I began moving and he was in front of car. He looks back the third time and slows down. Now my attention was on him. He had something in his hand. Looked like a cell phone. As I was getting out of the petrol pump, he suddenly stopped and gestured for me to stop and talk. I immediately swerved and sped away. He followed behind for some distance but I didn’t look back and increased speed and after a few minutes realised that I had lost him. Although nothing happened but even something as small as this makes my heart race and makes me wonder whether he was a thief or a pervert or maybe a drug addict. I kept imagining that had I stopped my car and lowered the window to ask what he wanted as it seemed like an ordinary gesture, maybe he could have had pepper spray and might have sprayed and picked up my purse. We were on NH1 and this stretch is pretty isolated with just this one petrol pump here. The road is elevated and villages are atleast 20-30 feet below. Just wanted to share this with a note to women here - do not be kind to strangers in today’s world. Distrust everyone! People on social media are also strangers just like the ones on road. Having high situational awareness is a better defence tool than anything else. And when in trouble, run, make noise and dont stay silent in such situations ever! #RoadTales #NH1 #Harassment

woonhak’s first impression of jaehyun! 🧸🐶♥️ 🧸 okay next.. next is jaehyun hyung, i’ll proceed in order of age. my first impression of jaehyun hyung… i’ll say it straight, if i had to describe it as a colour, it was full of purple energy. but not a deep purple… more like an ambiguous light purple? but at the same time, slightly deep too… how do i say it, it felt like this kind of shimmering energy was spreading out from his body. 🧸 back then, jaehyun hyung came in with a bridge hairstyle, wearing really strong perfume, and even had his jeans on inside out.. this is such a well-known talk, right. he came, and while he was greeting us, he seemed a bit shy around new people. we had high expectations, because.. how do i say it.. we’d heard that a really cool hyung was joining, so we were like “oh, the vibe is good, this hyung, okay, let’s go.” i immediately tried to get close to him. 🧸 even though he was shy, i kept approaching him non-stop. back then, i kept asking him things, what do you want to eat, what do you want to do, what kind of music do you like, and even had 1:1 talks with him in the studio. that was also when i had just started making songs, so i would play him the songs i made. looking back now, i think “wow, that song was actually really good.” to me, at least. they were cute songs quality-wise, and i’d let jaehyun hyung listen to them. back then, he said they were really good, probably out of politeness, but later on he even teased me about them. 🧸 i got closer to hyung by listening to the songs he made, and that’s how we became close. originally, we had this thing where we’d kind of do talent shows for fun, like when the energy got high, we’d just act crazy and play around. and there was always someone in charge of raising the energy, and that was me. but once jaehyun hyung came along, that role got split between the two of us. i’m really grateful for that. 🧸 we always… like i mentioned, i’d open with three songs, and in our practice room we had LED lights, so when we turned all the lights off and just left the LEDs on, we really loved playing around like that. we’d play music, k-pop and stuff, and what i did back then was play songs like ‘bohemian rhapsody’ or ‘crooked,’ and i’d go crazy in front of the hyungs. they’d enjoy it, and i remember that. i’d imitate michael jackson too, and they’d find it fun… honestly, i don’t even know, but we had times like that. when we got tired from practice as trainees, before going home, we’d just play music, play around, and laugh among ourselves. 🧸 ah right, we also had time to wrap up the day, like we’d all gather and talk about things like what time to come in the next day, stuff like that. we’d kind of organise the day. and then there was this thing where one of the hyungs from the new development team would come and guide us, so while waiting for that, we’d play around like that and end the day in a fun way. 🧸 but after jaehyun hyung joined, thanks to him my pressure got lighter. from then on, it felt more like something we could all enjoy together, and the overall vibe became more shared and fun. and through that, jaehyun hyung also got closer with the other hyungs too.

Almost three years ago I had a really tiny Chewie (he’s three now) and I was terrified that the stray dogs would hurt him every time I took him for a walk. I walked with sticks and I used to be quite alarmed if any stray dogs would come near us. Gosh they growled! I got the best advice from a friend. He said instead of carrying a stick and getting alarmed, start making friends with the stray dogs. Your dog (Chewie) will mirror your reaction to the strays. I wasn’t convinced but slowly I started meeting the strays when I’d walk out alone. I slowly started getting Chewie out and started walking him just near the area of the strays so that they got used to seeing me around with Chewie. Next I started walking with the strays. I did have some growling at Chewie but I kept myself calm. Chewie was quick to learn! He is such a friendly Shihtzu ! Not because he was somehow born that way but because I kept his world without fear. Now the strays play with him. They wag their tails when they see us. They surround us when we walk in their “area”. Protecting us. You know that’s what they’re doing. Once Chewie ran out and two strays started playing with him pushing him back to the house. I wish I had the camera! They knew he had to go home! This takes time. Months even. But all strays are trying to do is protect themselves. Once we understand that. We can coexist peacefully with them. I see such idiotic takes on this platform. I resist my urge to tell people that the monsters are us humans, we’re the ones who can’t bear to share our spaces with the very animals whose spaces we have taken away. #liveandletlive

Sleepy's new YT channel: Sleepy ran into Seokjin's giant sized IGIN post, got excited and the camera keeps zooming into that handsome face! He also apologizes to Seokjin 👨‍🦰Wow, my younger bro. Seokjinne! (Later he whipped out his fave vid he clipped and ) 🐹For me, as there was no one at the dorm. I went out to eat together with Sleepy hyung. summary: Sleepy said they got close during the jungle show. And Seokjin causally used to ask him 'Hyung, buy me a meal' and he used to say 'ofc let this hyung buy the meal for u!' At one point, Seokjin contacted him after reading an article about his financial hardship and sent him a message saying 🐹If things ever get really hard for you, I’d like to help out (financially) Sleepy talked about this on Radio Star later, which generated tons and tons of K media articles. He admitted honestly that part of him wanted ppl's attention and recognition by talking about Jin. After the articles came out massively, though, they grew a distant 👨‍🦰I know I was wrong and I truly want to say I’m sorry. He also added he went to a wedding and saw Seokjin sitting far away. But he felt so bad (*about making Jin feel uncomfortable) that he couldn’t bring himself to walk up to him so he just ended going home after the wedding (without getting to talk to him). *We know Seokjin never openly talks about the good things he does. He has always wanted to help people behind the scenes quietly.... Another thing I'd like to mention from a cultral point of view is that in K, younger hubaes often casually ask their sunbaes to buy them a meal as a way of breaking the ice, making the relationship feel more comfortable especially he know how ppl feel and act around a super star like him. Sometimes it’s also a gesture of treating them like an older senior figure and making them feel looked up to.. Seokjin is really down to earth and considerate🙏 #Jin #방탄소년단진

So what’s up with Trump? Trump is only two things, and both have been proven to be an absolute disaster for the country. He is stupid, and he is a narcissist. Let’s prove this. Trump is a silver-spooned child who never read a book, and whose only interests for the longest time were women and superficial pursuits. That’s it. This is a man with no morals a man who cheated on both wives and failed in multiple businesses in almost Failproof condition set up by his father and now he is using the presidency to secure Gaza real estate for himself and his son in law. This is a guy who had the best team, MTG, Massie, Elon, Vivek, Joe Kent, Tucker, Charlie, Candace and even Megyn kelly, all of them supported him and literally helped put him in power. If Trump thinks he won on his own, he needs a reality check. He won because of those people. He won because he said there would be no more wars and that people like Lindsey Graham (the swamp) wouldn’t be anywhere near decision-making. The harsh critics of him and the same people who tried to kill him, are his closest allies today. And this complete idiot has managed to push out every sane voice around him. Every single one. Elon got close to auditing Pentagon and was effectively sidelined. He was offended, his business was impacted by Trump’s decisions and although he tried to make peace, he is nowhere near Trump’s inner circle anymore. Vivek was pushed out right away. Then Candace. Then Charlie was effectively silenced by a bullet in his neck and instead of demanding answers pushing his own FBI guy for transparency, demanding names, autopsy reports, and full details Trump did nothing! He did nothing. He is not brave he is a coward and a bully. He’s only strong against sanctioned countries that can’t fight back, nations targeted by his predecessors simply because they refused to bow down and hand over their resources to the corporate America. Meanwhile, the same system enriches entrenched power at home, allowing corporate elites to grow into massive monopolies that squeeze the middle class out of existence, untouched. That wealth they took from latino America is not for Americans, it's for Blackrock, Israel etc, you saw it first hand. Iran won't be for American people either. He keeps calling Charlie his friend, but he did nothing for Charlie. No, Trump doesn’t have friends. He has opportunities. He uses people, then gets rid of them once these people show that they also have their own opinions and they want to be heard. Then came Tucker. Anyone who challenged Trump or reminded him of his own limitations was quickly dismissed. Meanwhile, political opportunists like Graham who have been playing the game for far too long realized they’re dealing with a narcissist. All they need to do is praise him constantly, constantly! Tell him how great he is, how everything he says is brilliant, unprecedented, amazing and that’s it, you've got his attention. Then they feed him bad information while reinforcing his thinking. That’s how manipulation works: you guide someone toward your idea while making them believe it was their own idea. Intelligence agencies have mastered this and Trump is an easy target, he is absolutely a stupid narcissist the easiest target for a trained intelligence apparatus. We are seeing this play out in real time, the unexplained shift and the strange conflicts with people who once supported him. One thing Trump is not is an actor. He can’t act, not even for the sake of politics, so none of his pre-presidential stances were act and he did believe what he was saying before. The problem is that he is uneducated, impulsive and Stupid when you add narcissism to this you get the perfect recipe for disaster. So now we have Trump aligned with the very group he claimed to be fighting against. This is a vulnerable spot for the country, uninformed leader who doesn’t understand geography, history, politics or foreign policy. He can’t distinguish between countries, struggles with basic facts and has repeatedly demonstrated a lack of understanding about how the world works from international relations to economics. He has said countless absurd things and people kept forgiving him, hoping he was different, an outsider. We chose to tolerate his stupidity in exchange for change, but in the end, we only got the stupidity. The change never came. Now it’s clear, he’s now one of them, not one of us. Apparently Joe Kent is weak, but I guess Lindsey Graham is strong like a lion! :)))))))) It’s time for a third party!
