👏👍 Same scouting mentality that kept Warren Moon out of the NFL and made him go to Canada for years to play. Hasn't changed at all. They pre-judge and take measurables over actual ability and mentality. Bill Walsh said, emotional intelligence is the most important QB trait.

Too many coaches, scouts, programs, organizations, recruiting departments, etc., looking for “DNA” players rather than investing the time to thoroughly evaluate and find the right fit for their team.

Couldn’t agree more. And this goes for all sports. We have “combine scouts” that care more about a 40 or shuttle time more than they do tape. Who knows how many true ballers are going unseen bc of the school they went to or they didn’t meet X,Y, or Z.
