Let’s be respectful of the fact that we don’t know everything. That’s the receiver’s fault.’ How do you know?” “You weren’t in that meeting room. The game is chess. It’s not checkers.” “We look at the head coaches, but let’s look at the assistant coaches. To me, those are more important. I didn’t coach the players as a head coach. I coached the coaches.” “I wanted them to have that relationship with the player, not just me. If intervention was needed, I would intervene. When you're a point guard, you're an extension of the coach. If he's trying to get his message across, he's going to say it to you. But here, I'm just more confident in the decisions I make because I know they trust me and I trust them if I make a mistake. And I guess honestly, I learned a lot from all of them. Their mechanics are insane. So I learned how they peek and everything, and I also implemented it."
