🚨 The University of Arizona received $320 MILLION in federal funding last year. President Suresh Garimella is from India. His salary is $810,000, with a performance bonus of $225,000. One of his shining scholars is Senior Lecturer Jason Gervase, “he/him/his.” Gervase has made it clear that Jewish and conservative students are not welcomed on campus, telling them in explicit terms to “fuck off.” This is a federally-funded campus with an academic who proudly discriminates against students on campus. President Garimella has done nothing. Gervase is still employed. This is not “academic free speech.” I suspect that if he had said this about any other race, religion, or political party, he’d be looking at the unemployment line.
