I love how symbolic that was. Bruce Wayne becoming what he fought against: a desperate man wielding a gun. But I don't think no one talks about the crook that ran away from him in fear. Not because it's Batman. It's Batman POINTING A GUN AT HIM. That's terrifying.

Take notes Snyder fans this is why Batman should never hold a gun

He became the thing that took his parents a desperate man with a gun

I always loved how anticlimactic it was. it's just some dude, it's not Joker. Darkseid, Riddler, Superman turned evil, Penguin, it's just some punk and Batman's age fails him

Even the Goon was like “not you”

Batman beyond is the best animated batman movie ever. Wish someone would adapt this art to the main screen.

It started with a gun, it ends with a gun.

At DC, there's no middle ground. If Batman uses a gun, he's no longer Batman; if Superman kills someone, he loses his powers and commits suicide.

Honestly, it's also sad looking back on Bruce's accomplishments throughout the DCAU knowing this is where he'll end up eventually.

Watching bruce like this made me not watch this show

I like how Batmans breaking point is using a gun. And then a dozen cops pull up with firearms

watch bvs right after this and the whiplash will do this to you

Notice How Batman's Absolutely Horrified With Himself For Even Threatening To Use A Gun... Pointing It Out For A...Certain Fandom...

Love the older Batman shows but hate how the bat family fell apart in this iteration. Bruce ending up bitter and all alone disconnected from everyone.

It started with a gun It ended with a gun

Imagine if he’d just shot the guy and then was like, “Damn, that was easy, should have been doing that all along.”

Snyder could never...

@8th_Sage The guilt

This was the moment Bruce realized he physically couldn't be The Batman anymore. The horror in his expression when he looks at the gun he held. He knew it was time.

“Bruce Wayne….is gone, but batman…lives on”

@krello_png Holding the weapon that killed his parents

Context on why he held that gun, bro had a heart attack

You’re right I should binge watch this show again

Great moment

Batman is my favorite superhero. There's something about him being a mortal man that makes him a very fascinating character. Of course, he's endured a lot for someone who isn't a superhuman.

I remembered that scene. It was bone chilling. But I remembered in Final Crisis, he killed Darkseid with a gun at the same time Darkseid used his Omega Beam, sending Batman back to the far past

Love it

Great series

This is the best version of the “Batman ends” storyline ever written

I refuse to believe that Bruce couldn't afford a replacement heart, it would still be fine for him to be old and die but ain't no way future Gotham couldn't fix some of him.

Did he just walk off a heart attack? 🤨
