This man was criticized for expecting a “thank you” for a good deed. He always saw the same man walking when he drove to work. He assumed the man was walking because he did not have any other means of transportation. He used his own money and bought the man an electric scooter, the man took the scooter and just silently walked away, no thank you or anything else at all. I don’t think that was too much to ask, a thank you goes a long way, otherwise it makes people look ungrateful. Back in college, I had a classmate that I always saw walking home after class. It didn’t matter whether it was raining or snowing, or hot out. Whenever I drove past him he always looked miserable and I could tell he didn’t like to walk all the time. In class I had asked him where he lived, and I found out it was on my way home so I offered to drop him off because it was really cold out and had snowed about a foot. He agreed and we chatted on the way home, nothing serious just pleasant conversation. I dropped him off and went on my way home. For me this was a one time thing, I only offered because how bad it was snowing. After class the next day, he walked with me and when I got to my car he got in. I didn’t agree or offer him a ride that day but he assumed that since I was ok with giving him a ride the day prior that I would be ok with it this day too. I didn’t say anything about it because at this point I didn’t care really. So the next day came and went, once again he walked with me to the car but that day was different. I wouldn’t be going his way because I had to work after class. So before I got to the car I said “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He looked dumbfounded and said aren’t you taking me home? I said no, I have to get to work. He then asked me how he would get home, and I told him the same way you always have. He then gave me excuses for why I was being a jerk because I was making him walk in the cold. I didn’t argue I just told him I helped him out when I could, but I wasn’t about to go out of my way because he didn’t have a car and besides I didn’t want to be late for work. He didn’t speak to me for the rest of the semester because of it, something tells me I was better off not offering to help in the first place.

Caller: "Okay. So, I've been with my wife for, we've been together since we were 14, for 14 years. I'm 32, I met her when I was 19, we had a child at 20. And, um, I've always just kind of been a butthead to her, to be honest. Every now and then I would demean her or make little comments, and I would say it started to really get bad about six weeks ago. I never would have thought that those words could come out of her mouth, and she told me that the way I treat her is, I'm not treating her the right way. And I completely owned it. I mean, I said everything you said is absolutely correct. You know, and I said, 'I don't want my son, our son growing up thinking that this is how you're supposed to treat women.' And, I mean, since that day, I have treated her like an angel. I mean, I've done everything and just constantly telling her I love her, giving her hugs, kisses. Um, but that was a Saturday night, and then Monday night she ended up telling me that she was, um, in communication with a guy she met on TikTok. And she told me she broke it off with him, and I asked her, What was the subjects about?' And she said it was just somebody to talk to about what I'm going through, my mental, you know, health. And she said it was never anything flirtatious or anything like that. She said it was just a stranger that I could talk to, but she said, 'I broke it off with him, and I'm gonna focus on us. And I said, 'I'm all in with you, let's rebuild this.' And we went about two weeks and it was just absolute honeymoon phase. I mean, we were just, never it was great. And then I went through her phone two weeks after that and found that she was on Snapchat with the guy. And I confronted her about it, and she said, 'Okay, well, I didn't think you were really gonna change, and I wanted to keep this friendship with the guy.' And she said, 'I'll break it off with him.' And I'm like, 'Okay, I guess I'll give you a second chance. I'm kind of heartbroken again that you would keep this from me. And then about a week and a half later, which was just yesterday, I went through the call logs on which, I feel bad because I'm constantly digging at all this, but every time I dig, I find something. And I confronted her yesterday that she's been talking to this guy for 30, 40, 50 minutes a day, um, the last week and a half, after she told me a third time that she was breaking it off with him. And I'm just super confused. I don't really know how to handle this. Now she's saying that she's all done talking to him, and I'm like, 'Well, how do I trust you now? You've been lying to me for the past three weeks about this.' So, that's really all I got." John Delony: "So for 14 years... you belittled your wife. She got the clear message she was beneath you. You're the smart one, you're the fast one, you're the quick one. You are the provider, you're the all this stuff." Caller: "Mhm. I always thought she was beneath me." John Delony: "Yeah, you did. Even though I was baptised Catholic as a baby, I grew up in an atheist household. In retrospect, the grace of Jesus in my life has been undeniable. He has never failed me. Not once. However, I was not always aware of it, unfortunately. Therefore, I behaved accordingly. One year ago, at one of the lowest moments of my life, I completely surrendered to Him. I was confused, lost, scared, and anxious. But He was there, waiting for me. Since then, my faith has been proven in the most bittersweet ways. But just as He didn’t allow Peter to drown, He didn’t allow me to do so. Since I have use of memory, I’ve been in fight-or-flight mode. But He allowed me to relax, to embrace uncertainty, to lose control, to finally be a happy, excited, spoiled kid. Today, after visiting all the places where He walked, taught, lived, and died, I made it to the Jordan River, where He was baptised. My idea was to rent a gown, pay a priest, and get baptised as a Catholic at the very same place where my Lord, Jesus Christ, was baptised. But He wanted to remind me that I am not in control of my life: He is. So it was all closed and empty. No gowns, no priests. He is always there for me, though. So He made my baptism even more magical. I know it is symbolic since I was already baptised. But this is a personal reminder that I am a child of God, that He forgave me, that He is my God and my Lord and my Saviour, that He died for us. And just as He rose from death, I was reborn. With the only purpose to follow Him, to honour Him, and to live for Him. I could have waited and come back another time in the future. But life is short and we need to make Heaven crowded. Thank you, Jesus.

🐰 i still remember when we went overseas on tour, taehyun said that his body was sweltering after the concert so he was going to have a ice shower and brought a bunch of ice 🐿️😆😆😆 🐰 he was like “this is refreshing~” and had a lower body bath and the next day he looked like he was dying 🐿️ i got a body ache all over the next day 🐰 i saw him and thought “i shouldn’t have a ice bath”…but i don’t go into cold bath tubs either 🐿️ ah really? 🐰 yeah 🐿️ i like it a lot, it’s really cold but there is a little bit of a mental effect of going in there plus it was really hot so i went in and it was very electrifying in a good way…like i was getting healthier! so i was like “this feels great~” but then…i was like “what’s this? i’m definitely out of the ice but it’s still cold..” 🐰 it wasn’t you feeling like you were getting healthier 🐿️ it wasn’t me feeling like i was getting healthier, it was the virus in my body getting healthier

storytime with kai #1 ⭐️ 🐧 this one time…when we were doing the jacket shoot for ‘deja vu’…what was the name again? the concept where i’m wearing a headband, we filmed it outdoors…the one with the rockband vibes 🐧 we filmed it outdoors and we filmed it in january so it was really cold and since we kept moving, sweating and running…the way i remember it, we had a 3 day break after that shoot; i’m not kidding when i say that i was in bed for 3 days straight because i had a cold 🐧 it was really rough so i texted soobin hyung and was like “soobin hyung, please save me” so soobin hyung came to my room and gave me cold medicine and really helped me a lot…the cold medicine that soobin hyung gave me had an instant effect so it really helped a lot 🐧 at the time, we had 3 days off but i was really sick right from day 1 because i caught a cold…and it was snowing! it was actually snowing and i went to the convenience store for a bit because i needed to eat so i went to the convenience store to buy food and i was walking back like this with the food in my hand while getting hit by the snow so it really looked like a movie scene 🐧 it was a good memory…i already had a cold and i was sick but it got worse because i went out in the snow
