The batter was about to get hit by the ball thrown by the pitcher. As he was moving out of the way he stuck his hand out as a reflex to try and minimize the impact. The umpire didn’t think the batter intentionally stuck his hand out so he granted him first base. The opposing coach disagreed and his argument was, if he didn’t stick his hand out, why did he get hit.

“I knew Trump for 35 years. I fought with him, went to meet with him, and tried to get him to do things. I’ve never seen a Black employee in Trump’s office, not one. I used to say, going up Trump Towers is like going up the Rocky Mountains. The higher you got, the whiter it got. You didn’t see one Black employee at his trial. So he did what for Blacks? He didn’t do it as a private citizen. And as Steve Ratner’s chacho, he didn’t do it as the president.” - Talking Trump on MSNBC’s #MorningJoe

The plan Hector came up with is unironically pretty damn smart, but the best part is that he tells Mike he knows he is an ex-cop. He is being as respectful as possible, but him saying that tells Mike that Hector did his research on him beforehand. It also makes Mike wonder how much else he knows. It comes off as just part of his plan, but it is also a disguised threat.

This batter was hit by a pitch. The problem is, he stuck his hand out. The umpire said he was struck by the pitch and awarded him first base. The coach came out to argue and said he stuck his hand out. The field umpire came in and told the plate umpire he did stick his hand out. But the plate umpire said or meant to say he didn’t do it intentionally but rather defensively. I had this happen to me at 14 years old. Fast ball right at me and reactively I put my hand up to block it. The ump awarded me first base. What do you think? Do you think he stuck his hand out intentionally or to defend himself from being hit?

"I like Bryson, I enjoy his game, I say a lot of nice things about him. But the way the world works is they pick up on one negative thing you say about him, and it becomes a headline." – Brandel Chamblee clarifies his views on Bryson DeChambeau.

For the first time Andrew Bridgen names David Canzini, Boris Johnston’s deputy chief of staff as the man who offered him anything to keep quiet about the vaccines. As we know he refused but sadly he revealed it also cost him his marriage . With his wife trying to shame him into taking the deal. It’s not every day you see a man give up so much to stand by the truth. 🏆

As the Patrick Kane signing as sunk in more as the day has gone on, I keep thinking of him watching the tribute video his first game back in Chicago with Detroit. He was going through it and it was written all over his face. Typically you get the smile and wave, maybe wipe a tear, but he was torn up. He snapped out of it after the first lap when he finally just took it all in. Truly believe if it was always up to him, he would've never left. Rebuild and all. Patrick Kane is Chicago, man. Welcome home.

We get asked every day about Jordan Spieth's shot on 17 at the Ryder Cup. And often we get asked about Bryson driving green on first hole. But the one that still blows my mind is his drive on the fifth hole.

Bryson DeChambeau pars the first playoff hole after rounds of 67, 65, 72 and 66 to win LIV Golf Singapore for his first victory of the season. Wildcard Richard T Lee gave it everything and missed this short one to extend the playoff. Bryson said after: “Absolutely hated it for Richard. He’s been playing some unbelievable golf. He’s beat me in a few rounds I’ve played with him and he’s a stellar player. I wanted to go another hole with him. As much as winning is great, I have so much respect for him and the way he golfs his ball, it’s quite impressive. The league should be really proud to have him as a wildcard.” He went on to say: “This was huge for me. Especially with it being wet conditions, thick blades and struggling with my wedges. To get it done was quite memorable.” This is the first time Bryson has won a 72 hole event since the 2024 US Open and puts him in great form with the Masters just around the corner.
