@ToddLewisGC If you watch when he first walks up behind the ball, he is definitely and (it would seem) deliberately stomping down the grass behind his ball, and the tall grass appears to remain bent over in a way that clears his otherwise obstructed backswing. A penalty seems appropriate.

@ToddLewisGC Watched this live on TV at the time of the alleged incident. It appeared he was trying to carefully step where he could without causing the ball to move due to the high grass. What Wyndham did at the US Open was more flagrant than Bryson trying to hack out of the weeds.
