If that's the case, then Brooks slides to pick up B gap pressure. 4) Big yikes. I'm gonna defend Stowers and just say that if the Eagles wanted a TE to do this, then they shouldn't have drafted him. Because he can't kick out the edge in the run game. He gets shoved back into the running lane. When I'm studying tight ends blocking, I often focus on willingness and physical strength. I don't care as much about technique. This is just bad, though. He slows down before hitting the edge defender as if he's fearing the contact. Also, this is where I think Bell's height can hurt him, as he can't get leverage as easily and ends up blocking too high. Lampkin is once again finishing strong!
