Alderman, There is no justification for our budget to exceed our peer cities by this much. Even when accounting for extra pension payments we are spending more than them despite being in the worst fiscal shape. It is not “draconian” to reduce spending to sensible levels. Being profligate with our spending only hurts future generations. Vote responsibly.

Socialism is a mistake and we're all paying for it. You guys need to reduce spending.

No new taxes or fees, period. Cut the city's budget and cut the size of the government. Chicago is larded w/bullshit high-cost impoverishing sinecures that hurt the taxpayers. After you've done that find the remaining efficiencies and implement them. After that, de-regulate this city and open it up to high-efficiency investment and development. Growth is the only way out of the mess you've made at City Hall. And do not even think about placating the CTU or allowing them to sign contracts before the new elected board is seated. Every alderman has a responsibility to do what they can to ensure that happens.

Revoke Chicago’s sanctuary city status and focus on fixing the enormous mess you have made

Alderman- NO tax increase until CUTS are made including furlough days and eliminating positions where feasible- Your job depends on it.

Where are the cuts

Sorry Daniel, but anyone standing with a mayor who can't muster 15% Approval is simply begging to lose their own job from THEIR OWN incompetence. Think hard because everything you've ever worked for goes out the window when you stand with Mayor 15%. THINK!

Budget update from City Hall.

if you're a real socialist you should donate all your salary and your staff salary to the neighborhood for the next two years ... and Let the homeless sleep in your staff office that's paid for by City dollars #manup

Quit propping up communist budgets and keeping this city tied down by debt for once
