Biking is not without its drawbacks: erectile dysfunction; joint issues; falls. feasibility of daily commute is dependent on geography and weather. Moreover, cars transport multiple people; kids; elderly better and faster. energy dynamics change with carpooling.

@harrivaarala conversely, put on a small engine for "accessibility" – avoid the daily "grind", literally and figuratively. Any moped wins the Tour de France at ~4X kilocalories consumed– and could repeat the task indefinitely.
