More details on Solano Shipyard:

Yes but it’s in California, no one is allowed to build anything

I’m optimistic they will let us.

I am hoping you are right and rooting for this to happen !

❤️ thank you

You need Palantir

The first time I've seen someone comparing shipyards sizes in a video like this. Kudos to you! I'm trying to spread awareness about the shipyard size differentials as well! The shipyards in Asia dwarf ours.

It’s pretty scary.

If you are interested in a rendered concept of Solano shipyard, let me know! This is one I'm working on for a Hunter's Point revival concept using GIS data. It's a work in progress.

If we're talking about commercial ships, US shipyards didn't build five last year. They built zero.

100%.

Environment testing will take 107 years.

I’m optimistic California will prove its doubters wrong on this one.

I would love to see it also, truly.

BUILD. MORE. EVERYTHING. 🇺🇸

100% right

Actually pretty mind-blowing how far behind with production the United States is behind China We won WWII for the most part because we could out produce everyone else. Massive ship building port in San Francisco could be great. The SF Port could become a major stop for the Large-scale deep-sea mining in Pacific which is ramping up

100% !! Americans just dont know how many thousands of jobs Shipyards sustain!! I used to work at the NAVY Shipyard in San Diego and can tell you its incredibly rewarding as you see the progress on the ship over time🙏🏽 It pays well and there is overtime **FOR MONTHS** on end!!

Much better than a pointless desk job.

@alexg_7426 Tons of people these days don't think so including a lot of the younger guys you need to do that work. The work world has changed and younger workers want more work-life balance and more often than not are not dating, forming families and such This makes selling O/T hard

@jansramek Youre wrong and IM TELLING YOU YOURE WRONG as someone who was 18 and thought building Warships was **THE** coolest thing ever and to this day is hands down far and away the best job i ever had🤷🏽♂️ I worked 84 hrs a week... and had a GF. I worked 84 hrs a week... and partied.

@SAcerton @jansramek You were 18. He’s talking about the mindsets of people who are 18 in 2025. This isn’t about how YOU think.

@SAcerton @jansramek Then this job isnt for you lol Simple as that. We will not conform the job for you weak men🤷🏽♂️ They job is the job. If **YOU** dont do it then someone else will🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ Carry on...

This is such a phenomenally great idea.

It’s time to build

100%. But having California Forever anchored by this major industrial facility just takes the whole project to a different level. This is looking more and more like a real city as opposed to an extremely well-designed large suburb.

100% right. But also, it was always this way, the media just spun it differently. The Industry & Technology Zone was there in the plans from January 2024 (today Solano Foundry).

Well, it's amazing to see it go from a "Zone" to what seems to be an increasingly viable project.

Build more ships. Grateful to call California and Solano County home. This community’s heritage in service, shipbuilding, and Travis AFB runs deep. Time to reclaim our role in protecting the nation. Let’s do This !😎✅😎

You realize that the former Mare Island Naval Shipyard is 25 miles due west of where this is located. It already has drydocks, building ways, and used to employ 10k of the best ship builders in the world.

Yes. I hope they build ships there too. Given how far we’re behind, we’re going to need all of the above approach.

As a native San Franciscan I wish this would become a reality. This is another great idea that will die a slow death in California politics.

Not there..can’t trust California to put out a fire

Snark never built anything. I think California will surprise everyone when it comes to this one. It’s time.

Why not just reactivate Mare Island and modernize it? You don't need to go all the way out to Suisun...

Shift our priorities… build less windmills and BUILD MORE SHIPS for a strong America 🇺🇸

@VT6153 100% right.

@VT6153 I have a start up veteran owned construction engineering firm with a Naics code in Shipbuilding and repair. I would love to be involved in building the Shipyard!

@VT6153 There’s a contact form on our website where you can log your interest! To be updated as opportunities come up.

California will never approve it. Would displace some microscopic brine shrimp or something and get canceled. Great idea though, try Mississippi

Hate to break the news but China is on the Pacific... I'm optimistic that California will prove that it can do big things here. There's change in the air in California.

My man i wish you the best. I really do. I'm just not hopeful that California can get out of its own way in infrastructure

Thank you! Gotta try.

I hope you’re successful. I grew up in Suisun, that land has always been empty. The sloughs were great for fishing, not much more. Would love to see Mare Island open back up too. Lots of potential out there.

Thank you! The sloughs can stay great for fishing, we're building miles and miles away from them. And yes to Mare Island. Shipbuilding is a regional effort -- if Solano Shipyard happens, it makes it easier to bring maritime back to Mare Island too.

Yes, build more ships get thousands of California's something to do beside drugs and alcohol, Give them the opportunity for the American dream, like many of California's used to have for the Aerospace industry in El Segundo California and Surrounding Areas.

This is going to be so great for the area!!! The opportunities will be endless!

100%

@RobertsSpaceInd you heard em 👀

A strong nation commands the sea. 🇺🇸🚢 A weak nation complains about the waves. Build the ships. Build the industry. Build the future. America rises when Americans build.

No to California!! Not a friend of the country, too many regulations, too many taxes!

🔥🇺🇸❤️

Total scam.

I appreciate your desire to build ships, but I can tell you that building quality ships is far more complicated than you know. The Navy is incapable of getting out of their own way, and you’ll never get a conventional capable yard built in 10 years, let alone nuclear capable.

As a company, we're building a platform for others to build, including shipbuilders. If America decides to actually do something about the 5 vs 1,000+ ships per year America vs China issue, it will require profound changes to our maritime industry. Our job is to create the best place to build something big. Whether we as a country really decide to do that, that's not up to us!

After WWII, the US began reducing its # of ships. The yards that continued building emerged as the very best. But without a government increased demand for ships, no existing yard will invest in infrastructure to support more building. We’ve worked to get Australia building now.

who paying for it?

California is too expensive. Build a shipyard in a more affordable state, ideally in the south like Alabama, Louisiana or Mississippi.

Hate to break it to you but China is on the Pacific. In any conflict, first thing that happens is Panama Canal gets bombed and then we need west coast shipyards.

With the advance of hypersonic missiles, war ships are sitting ducks. But I understand. It's your livelihood and your pushing your product.

Jones Act one of the biggest self owns of all time

California? Newsom will find a way to f*ck that up!

I drive over the Benicia bridge everyday for work and look out over the fleet. Would be wild to see something like that

Oh cool I drive by there everyday

$AMSC has contracts with the US Navy for SPS (ship protection systems) If you are looking for a stock flying under the radar that is growing fast 👀

Trump gets things done. And he does not like wasting American taxpayer money. The man wields capitalization like a beast.

Funniest revenge play ever for having the locals vote your plan to make a French village down

Not really. That one is happening too!

@NewtBurp How did I know this new shipyard was related to that scheme...

@jansramek Love it rooting for you guys

We can dream

Let’s dream!
