Don't forget the thousands of liters of gear oil needed for the turbine gearboxes. And at the end of life, the turbine blades get cut up and buried in landfills because it's not feasible to recycle them.

Quite a mystery how easily they overlook the environmental impact. 300 years from now the mast, generator, and turbine will be beyond it's service life. That foundation could be there for thousands of years. Maybe some future archaeologists finding it will wonder what kind religious ritual it served.

What a waste of time. Everyone knows these programs are just a way of getting our tax dollars. They never make money without heavy government subsidies. Build nuclear power plants. Modern Molten-Salt Reactors (MSR's) are the way to go. Safe & efficient. Wind & solar are a scam.
