I don’t have any app coding experience and made one with Claude that I should be submitting to the App Store tomorrow for approval. I think the current hype around building apps with AI isn’t as transparent as it should be. For example, unless you learn the hard way you won’t know about version handling and risk the entire thing suddenly becoming unusable and having to start from scratch. If you don’t know about adding permissions information to your info.plist you’ll get denied if you require any permissions. If you don’t know about hiding your api keys in keychain or other methods you risk having them abused. There is a lot of things like this that also need to be figured out. However, once you realize that you can just ask Claude or Chat GPT to outline all of these details and then you can figure them out from there. The future with this stuff is going to be nuts. Anyone building anything. I look at the current state of building apps with AI like the videos of Will Smith eating spaghetti last year. A year from now it’s going to be soooo easy.

You can do this without opening a code editor at all using Spawn:

Take a person with no interest in programming, give them the best AI for coding, and watch them still not be a programmer. Still no complex example because AI can get code wrong, then what are you going to do :)

fantastic as always! btw as an option whisper beinf opensource can be selfhosted (pip install) not sure it’s relevant to this build but thought I’d mention it, been using it on a few projects

I doubt this is even 20 percent of the whole process. You have blank audio at the end of some notes, there is no search, no syncing. What happens if phone loses connection to the server? So yes, no coding is required, but you still need to do all the engineering.
