The #Pune Ring Road, envisioned as a transformative solution to ease traffic congestion for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, has faced unacceptable delays despite ₹42,000 crore in approved funds and 90% land acquisition nearing completion. Today, in the Vidhan Sabha, I raised this pressing issue during the Supplementary Demands - Public Works session. Citizens continue to face daily traffic congestion, and this long-pending project is crucial for providing much-needed relief. I urged the state government to prioritize and expedite the Pune Ring Road project to ensure progress doesn’t remain on paper but becomes a reality for the people of Pune and PCMC. #PuneRingRoad #VidhanSabha #TrafficSolutions #PublicWorks #PuneDevelopment #PCMC भाजपा महाराष्ट्र BJP Pune BJP Shivaji Nagar Pune

Pune News: Frustrated Pune citizens stage massive protest against PMC Frustrated by the everyday issues plaguing the city, various Punekars held a massive protest ‘Chalo PMC’ outside the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) building to demand basic facilities like smooth roads, repairing potholes, daily water supply, proper drainage system, garbage disposal and stopping Mula Mutha riverfront project. Around 500 Punekars participated in the protest. Speaking to Pune Pulse, Angad Patwardhan, a resident of Aundh, Pune said, "Basically, one of the prime points of the protest is the Mula Mutha riverfront project by PMC, it's harmful implications to the environment & Pune citizens, etc. Also, various other infrastructural & civic issues are being highlighted here as it is not only about the river. The PMC yearly budget is Rs 10,000 crore. This comes from the taxes paid by Pune citizens but we have a plethora of problems like potholes, improper roads etc. Instead of solving these issues, the civic body is spending money to destroy the environment through the riverfront development project and demolishing Vetaal Tekdi for the proposed road of Balbharati-Paud Phata." Point of Information: Cleanliness of Hills (Tekdis) in #Pune Today, in the Vidhan Sabha, I highlighted the pressing issue of the worsening state of cleanliness of Pune's scenic hills. #Pune, renowned as the "City of Hills" is home to iconic tekdis such as Vetal Tedki, Taljai, Mhatoba, Parvati Hill, and an array of 35 hills adorning its landscape. Unfortunately, the cleanliness on our hills has deteriorated significantly. Disturbingly, miscreants are now using them as dumping grounds for both domestic garbage and construction waste. Sandalwood trees are being cut on Vetal Tekdi. Regrettably, the Forest Department has not been vigilant about these issues. Though various volunteer groups are engaged in cleanliness drives on the hills, miscreants continue to defy these efforts, clandestinely disposing of waste under the cover of night. Prompt and stringent measures are imperative to tackle this issue head-on. Immediate legal and penal actions need to be taken against those responsible for these crimes. Furthermore, I emphasized to the house the pressing need for increasing manpower of the #ForestDepartment and taking comprehensive steps to ensure the cleanliness and preservation of Vetal Hill and the other hills that grace #Pune #GreenPune #Tekdi #Forest #Dumping

Key Issues Raised in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha for Pune’s Safety and Public Services In the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, I raised several important issues aimed at strengthening citizen safety in Pune and improving veterinary healthcare infrastructure. Five New Cyber Police Stations for Pune With cybercrime steadily rising in the city, I reiterated my earlier demand from the previous session to establish five new cyber police stations in Pune. I urged the Home Department to expedite action on this proposal. Expanded CCTV Network and Advanced Technology I also called for the immediate rollout of 10,000 new CCTV cameras across Pune and urged the Government to announce the state’s comprehensive CCTV policy at the earliest. Additionally, I proposed integrating criminal databases with CCTV networks through face recognition technology, enabling real-time alerts to cyber cells when suspects are detected and significantly improving crime prevention and investigation. Upgrading the Aundh Veterinary Hospital Currently, the Aundh Veterinary Hospital provides only OPD services. I requested the Animal Husbandry Department to expedite the tender process for establishing a multispeciality veterinary treatment centre with modern facilities, and to fill vacant posts at the hospital at the earliest. I will continue to actively pursue these issues to strengthen public safety, civic infrastructure, and essential services for Pune’s citizens. #SiddharthShirole #MaharashtraVidhanSabha #Pune #CyberSecurity #CCTV #PublicSafety
