🚶 BENGALURU'S FOOTPATHS ARE GETTING THEIR SPACE BACK From July 1–10, the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is running a 'Safe Footpath Campaign' across 1,000 km of road network — clearing encroachments from footpaths in all five city corporations. 📊 WHY THIS MATTERS 30% of every 1,000 road accident deaths in Bengaluru are pedestrians. See this 45-Day Inspection Report from Lavelle Rd, where the footpath was reclaimed from filth & urination on Sept 7, 2025- not only has it stayed clean, it is being maintained by Blr Central City Corpn & Bowring Club. This was a surprise inspection (not a set-up), and those who live nearby and walk here everyday can vouch for it. SORRY to all the cynics who expected and predicted otherwise. People are not inherently 'bad' - they respond to the environment. It's great to see all stakeholders step up and take charge of this important footpath in Blr city centre.
