PS5 Liquid Metal Nightmare Has Just Begun! 😱 Gallium diffusion just ate the heatsink in an early PS5 model! This CFI-1116 unit came in with severe overheating. The liquid metal completely broke through the protective plating, forming a rock hard alloy crust and leaving a massive dry spot over the APU. Is liquid metal starting to fail long term on early models? Have you seen this in your shop? 👇 #PS5 #LiquidMetal #HardwareRepair #GamingTech #PS5Overheating

I found a component library with 250+ animations that will make your frontend look insane. And it's completely FREE ! >Ready to use components with animations built in >Copy and drop straight into your project >The kind of UI that makes your app look like a $50K build Your frontend will never look the same.

I've started using Base UI for Hypermode's new UI components and I'm absolutely loving it. The component API's are excellent, and the DX in pairing it up with Motion has been seamless. WIP of a new Hypermode dialog with form elements built on BaseUI 👇

🚨 SCIENTISTS JUST INVENTED A WAY TO PRINT CIRCUIT BOARDS WITH LIQUID METAL AND IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF TERMINATOR. A startup called Itera has developed a system that can create working PCB prototypes in minutes instead of weeks. You upload your design, and electric fields force a liquid metal alloy into the exact shape of the traces on a glass substrate. The board is then tested and ready almost instantly. Why this matters: • Traditional PCB prototyping can take days or even weeks this could reduce it to minutes • It uses liquid metal instead of etched copper, making it potentially much faster and more flexible for rapid iteration • Backed by $12 million in funding, the company is already focusing on single-layer boards with surface-mount components • The process looks genuinely futuristic glowing rivers of metal flowing into place on command The deeper implication is enormous: We may be watching the beginning of a completely new era of hardware development. Instead of waiting days for a prototype, engineers and makers could design, test, and iterate multiple versions in a single afternoon. This could dramatically speed up innovation in electronics, robotics, AI hardware, and even consumer devices. What happens when making a new circuit board becomes as fast and easy as printing a document? Follow for more frontier physics and future technology.

React Native now has its own shadcn/ui equivalent — introducing 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗨𝗜. If you love the flexibility of copying customisable components directly into your project (avoiding heavy, dependency-laden packages), NativeUI is designed for you. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗨𝗜 offers beautifully crafted, accessible components tailored for React Native, following the same copy-paste philosophy as shadcn/ui. Built with 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 for fast, declarative, and flexible styling optimised for React Native. ➡️ 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 — no black-box dependencies required. ➡️ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁, supporting screen readers and keyboard navigation, and designed to align with native iOS and Android UX patterns. ➡️ 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗜 without rebuilding common elements like buttons, inputs, or sliders from scratch. ➡️ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, but not yet integrated with Tamagui’s styling system (future support may be planned). ➡️ 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 — though you’ll need to wire it up manually using Tailwind variables, context providers, and config files. Note: The term “install” in the documentation refers to using the shadcn CLI (e.g., npx shadcn@latest add component) to fetch and copy component code into your project, not adding a package to your dependencies. NativeUI isn’t a plug-and-play library; it’s a lightweight toolbox that empowers you to shape your UI with precision and control. The official Parquet SDK is now available. Whether you're building a trading terminal, bot, portfolio dashboard, or structured product on Parquet, the SDK powers your backend. Developers can now: Open, close, and manage perpetual positions Read live market data (oracle prices, funding, open interest) Abstract away PDAs, oracle accounts, and error decoding The SDK is non-custodial: it returns unsigned instructions for the caller to sign and never holds private keys. Every release is built in CI and published with SLSA provenance via OIDC trusted publishing; verify integrity with npm audit signatures. Install: npm i @parqxchange/sdk Docs:

🚨 SCIENTISTS JUST BUILT AN ARTIFICIAL RETINA THAT RESTORES VISION AND ADDS INFRARED SIGHT. Researchers at Yonsei University in South Korea have developed a flexible, three-layer implant that bypasses dead photoreceptors and directly stimulates healthy retinal ganglion cells. The device not only helps restore vision in cases of retinal degeneration (like retinitis pigmentosa) but also gives the eye the ability to detect near-infrared light that humans normally cannot see. The key innovation is a soft 3D array of liquid metal micropillars (gallium-indium alloy) that gently conform to the curved retina without causing damage or inflammation a major improvement over rigid electrodes used in earlier implants. Why this matters: • Retinal diseases destroy light-sensing cells, but the neurons deeper in the eye often remain healthy and capable of sending signals to the brain • The implant uses an ultrathin filter + phototransistor array to convert near-infrared light into electrical signals the ganglion cells can understand • In mouse tests, blind animals regained visual responses, while healthy mice gained infrared sensitivity on top of their normal vision • The liquid metal electrodes are soft and biocompatible, dramatically reducing the risk of scarring or tissue damage The deeper implication: This isn’t just about restoring lost vision it’s about augmenting human sight. If it reaches human trials and proves safe long-term, people with partial vision loss could keep their remaining natural sight while gaining an entirely new sensory channel (infrared). The biggest open question is how the human brain would interpret this new stream of information whether it would feel like a new color, an overlay, or something else entirely. We’re moving from “fixing blindness” to “expanding what it means to see.” How do you think gaining the ability to see infrared light would change daily life or human perception? Follow for more frontier neurotechnology and bionic vision breakthroughs.

Introducing fx, a tiny, open, native coding agent from Vercel Labs. Originally an internal tool, fx is a harness and CLI written in Zig, optimized for research and embedding in larger systems. Today, we're open sourcing it. fx is built on three principles: 1. Fast. A single native binary, no runtime to install. It cold starts in 10µs and does no unnecessary work or I/O before accepting input. fx is the answer to "how fast can a coding agent be?" 2. Light. The 6.3MiB binary uses single-digit megabytes of memory at baseline, made for instant installation and embedding in resource-constrained environments and agent sandboxes. 3. Open. Apache-2.0, model and provider agnostic, suitable for local and cloud inference. Its small core extends through skills, plugins, and MCP. Minimalism is an obsession throughout the entire harness: system prompt, tools, features, binary. The goal was to keep context usage and time to first token low, and make fx optimal for model benchmarking, sandboxing, evals, and gyms. You can use fx directly or embed it as infrastructure. The CLI feels more like a Unix shell than an IDE in the terminal: it preserves scroll history, produces minimal output, and uses complex TUI rendering very, very sparingly. Programmatically, 𝚏𝚡 𝚊𝚜𝚔 --𝚓𝚜𝚘𝚗 gives structured output, 𝚏𝚡 𝚊𝚌𝚙 connects to editors and other clients, and WebAssembly can even run the whole thing inside the browser (see: Privacy is a design constraint: no product telemetry, sessions and usage stay local, and no source code or prompts are shared with any endpoint other than inference. 🚨 AMERICA JUST BUILT THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL METAL 3D PRINTER AND IT’S ABOUT TO MASS-PRODUCE ROCKETS AND MISSILES. Divergent Technologies has unveiled the Monolith One, a giant industrial metal printer standing over 8 meters tall and armed with 12 high-powered lasers delivering a combined 24 kilowatts of energy. Unlike typical 3D printers used for prototypes, this machine is built for serious, high-volume production. It can print large, complex aerospace and defense parts in aluminum, titanium, steel, and nickel alloys and it roughly doubles the output of current systems. Why this matters: • Divergent plans to install 64 more of these machines in a massive new 430,000 sq ft factory in Long Beach, California • Once running, the facility aims to produce tens of thousands of munition airframes per year plus hundreds of thousands of critical metal components • It slashes manufacturing time from months down to weeks or even days • The company already supplies major players like Lockheed Martin and RTX The deeper implication: This isn’t just another 3D printer. It represents a shift toward software-defined, on-demand manufacturing at industrial scale for mission-critical hardware. As defense and aerospace demand skyrockets, traditional supply chains are too slow. Systems like Monolith One could become a cornerstone of faster, more resilient domestic production especially for complex structures that are difficult or impossible to make conventionally. We’re watching the industrialization of additive manufacturing in real time. How do you think large-scale 3D printing will change aerospace and defense manufacturing over the next decade? Follow for more frontier manufacturing and defense technology.
