They finally did it! YouTube is now an official app for Apple Vision Pro and can be downloaded from the App Store. It features 3D, 180 and 360-degree content and an optimised user interface. So far I really like it. Still, it feels surreal that this is actually happening.

✨ I built a Cursor-style right sidebar on my site Photo AI which is a regular AI chatbot BUT it can fully control my app! It can take photos of you, or shoot videos, run photo packs, remix content you upload etc. anything you see in the interface. Like an AI photographer that does everything for you inside the web app The convo history is stored in localStorage, and the chat uses xAI Grok 4 to send messages, there I define the tools it can use, and when it gets a response JS controls the site like prompt textareas, or photo pack section, or take photo button It also knows what's on your screen, so you can say you want to mix the blue jacket from one photo and the red hair from the other A few weeks ago I told Yasser it'd be cool if Chatbase (an AI customer support pop up chat) would be able to fully control my site too, and this week I saw Farza 🇵🇰🇺🇸 building an AI desktop app that fully controls his computer too so I think that's where things are going, you don't see it on the web that much though Very fun to build and hopefully useful for people!!!

4. Don't go to an acdemic publisher's website with a billion-dollar annual revenue. But if you do, copy the DOI of the article you want to read. Next, go to Zotero and click on the magic wand-like button on the top. This will let you enter an article's DOI. Don't paste the DOI of the article you just copied because Sci Hub will go and retrieve that article and add it to your library. If you have downloaded this article, don't open it because then you will be able to read it.

Guessing app's PIN using Flipper Zero as #BadUSB This "App Locker" app protects access to user selected apps - in this case, Instagram - using PIN code. It is possible to guess it with unlimited attempts, because the app developers haven't implemented brute-force protection and even timeout after few incorrect entered passwords. The app only allows to set 4 digit PIN. This allows us to try 10,000 PINs with unlimited attempts. After every try is 0.5 second delay. Because of that, it would take us 84 minutes to rotate through all the PIN combinations. ✅If you decide to use such an app lock protector, make sure not to use easy to guess and common passwords. If you are a developer, I advise you to implement a brute-force protection that includes timeout. #FlipperZero #Android #bruteforce

It's official. OpenAI just launched SORA 2... and an entirely new social app. Truthfully... I wanted to hate this. The idea of an endless turbo slop scroller is just… nightmare fuel to me. BUT. The reason I think Sora (the app) might actually just work, is that it’s a multiplayer meme-creation machine. It’s fun. It doesn’t take itself seriously. I think of it like a super advanced evolution of JibJab. The group chats will love it. Now… personally, I'd guess that I will be churning after the novelty fades… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they built some meaningful network effects here. But let’s talk about the model. Sora 2 is an instant Veo 3 alternative. It actually produces better physics, better audio, and deeper realism imo. It can also generate up to 15 seconds of video. Where it falls short is that it’s limited to 720p right now. We can assume 1080p and 4k exist, but the compute cost associated would probably not be economically viable for OpenAI. Okay back to the app. You can create a model after your own likeness, for yourself OR other people to use as a “cameo.” You have control over who and how someone can use your likeness. I’m “rpn24” on the app. If you have access to the app (it’s invite-only for now) – go ahead and create whatever you want using me (for now). I'm not too worried because OpenAI leaned heavily into moderation for launch. Which is probably smart because I expect the media and general public to blast this at first. They’ve also taken further precautions to protect your likeness. You can not export or save a video with someone else's likeness on it, and screen recording is disabled. Also Sora is testing (first I know of its kind) an algorithm you can prompt.

I asked Garry Tan how to use meta prompting to get better at AI: "My partners at YC Jared Friedman and Pete Koomen showed me how to do this. You can take almost anything that you do all the time and just drop it into a context window. And then say, “Here’s a bunch of inputs and outputs." And maybe you also add a bunch of notes. And then you tell it, “Write me a prompt that can act as an agent that takes this input and makes this output over here.” You can do this for almost any type of knowledge work. And you can even introspect. "What are things you notice that I did to convert this from the input to the output?”. And then you can just start using the prompt. Initially, it’s going to suck. Because it’s just not that smart yet. But what’s funny is now, I also use it to Iterate my writing. You can be very direct, "I would never say that", "Don’t say it like this", or "Oh, you used the long word there, use the short word". Just speak to it conversationally. And then when you're happy with the output, you can use that new output to make a new prompt. "Based on this conversation, give me a better initial prompt that incorporates all the things we talked about." And you can do this with literally everything. And in theory, there’s so much it applies to that people do day-to-day. You could use it for tweets. You could use it for editing podcasts. You can use it for pretty much everything. I have a folder of prompts that I use all the time. My YouTube prompt is on v27 or something. I'll go through this process with all the different max models. I'll use GPT 5.2 Pro. I’ll use Grok. I'll use Claude. Then, I’ll take all the outputs from all the models and put them into Claude and say "Here’s my prompt, here’s the output from four LLMs, including yourself. Rate each response and tell me what the pros and cons of each approach are." And I usually say "give it to me in numbered form". And then you can agree with one, disagree with two, tell it three is this or that. And then after that, you say given all of this, synthesize it."
