As the Grok 4.6 release approaches, Grok 4.5 seems to be ageing like fine wine. Built an orbital assembly simulation around a colossal spacecraft, with robotic manipulators, hull installation, active welding and surrounding traffic, using Three.js.

Grok 4.6 continues to impress me with how far it can take a visual concept. Built this interactive 3D Japanese riverside town with a tram and station, shrine, bridge, cherry blossoms, flowing river, atmosphere and changing lighting.

Grok 4.7 is just around the corner. And it’s bringing a much bigger brain. The new model is coming with 2.1 trillion parameters, up 40% from Grok 4.6. It’s also trained on SpaceX engineering data and built to power persistent Grok Bot teams that keep working in the cloud after you log off. Bigger model. Better engineering context. Agents that don’t clock out. Grok 4.7 is coming in hot. Grok SpaceXAI SpaceX / Writer: Annette, Grok Imagine Designer: Janné

Grok 4.6 vs Kimi K3 I gave the same prompt to Grok 4.6 and Kimi K3. And I must say Kimi k3 is so better. > The overall theme is nicer. > colors are fulfilling. > The controls are smoother > even the viewing angle is better. By the way I used Grok 4.6 high fast and Kimi K3 high

Grok 4.6 is 50% off in Nous Portal for the next week, in partnership with SpaceXAI. Built with a focus on long-running agents and ambitious interactive work, and perfect for use with Hermes agent.

Grok 4.5 barely had time to enjoy first place. Grok 4.5 Medium just took the top spot on LaurenBench with 56.9%, beating Claude Sonnet 5, Claude Opus 5, GLM 5.2 and GPT 5.6 on real world agent tasks. And Elon says Grok 4.6 arrives next week. Looks like Grok 4.5 won’t be in the spotlight for long. xAI Grok / Writer: Annette, Grok Imagine Designer: Janné

I tested Gemini 3.7 Flash vs Qwen 3.8 vs Grok 4.6 vs GLM 5.3 Same prompt, 2 scenes: a harvester and farmers working. honestly? Qwen 3.8 impressed me. it just did what I asked. Grok 4.6 failed on coloring. Qwen>GLM> Grok> Gemini which one did better for you?

Accordingto Elon Musk, Grok 4.6 will be released by the end of this week. It will be the 1.5T model "with significantly improved SFT & RL". Grok 4.7 with 2.1T will released a few weeks later.
