i had heard jordan peterson bring up this talking point a bazillion times but I didn't realize it was so factually inaccurate until I listened to @JackoTreadwell talk about it on his podcast @DiscourseSurfer

He's conflating that book with Everyone Lies by @SethS_D, who was Google engineer, and used Google stats. Both cover similar ground. He's also incorrectly added "werewolf" to a list of characters attractive to women. @jordanbpeterson should update, but this is a bit nitpicky.

@SethS_D @jordanbpeterson That explains why he thought it was written by google engineers, but that's not the only mix-up. I just looked in Everyone Lies and I don't think there is such list, so where did he get vampire, werewolf, billionaire, and pirate?

According to Wikipedia, Ogi Ogas "is a computational neuroscientist" and Sai Gaddam "designs nanoscale processors that mimic noisy, massively parallel brain computations for Hewlett-Packard." Referring to them as Google Engineers is clearly a mistake, but to say he's "bullshitting" seems like a reach.

This is extremely uncharitable nitpicking. Not discrediting to Jordan Peterson in the slightest. They are computational neuroscientists who presented their findings at Google.

My favorite is the whole lobster & serotonin thing. I am not very bright I will admit, but when I read that in 12 Rules for Life, I was like that sounds more like dopamine behavior. Look up his source & yes, invertebrates respond much differently to serotonin than vertebraes.
