Bully for Bugs (1953) The idea for this classic Bugs Bunny short came about after producer Eddie Selzer said, 'I don't want no gags about bullfights. Bullfights aren't funny'; which left Chuck Jones and writer Michael Maltese no option but to make one.

This cartoon is how I learned about Albuquerque. History: The gag originates from the fact that Route 66 (opened in 1926) actually intersects itself in the middle of downtown Albuquerque, meaning you could stand on the corner of Route 66 and Route 66note resulting in a lot of people getting turned around and taking the wrong turn.
