💕Bunny Mooning (1937)💕 Here’s a comparison between our new digital restoration and a VHS copy! #fleischerstudios #filmrestoration #cartoon #colorclassic #animation

Good job I would like to see just a touch more contrast though in the restored version.. not much. Try 8% to 10% I think it will give it more punch

gorgeous

It’s so surreal seeing this. I’m so used to the unrestored clips they used in “Shining Time Station.” This is beautiful.

I'm loving the restored clarity and sharpness. Your colors are getting muted. Easy LUT tweak. But, the original backgrounds are losing a lot. You may want to create clean plates and separate the animation into layers, then lay them back in slightly overscale. Great stuff!

You're doing the Lord's work in preserving these cartoons.

the original has more depth and warmth 👈

😂

The VHS looks more like a painting. Look at the treetops and the clouds. It has blacks and shadows and more contrast. Obviously there's a lot less detail and the colors are wrong and anything dark is getting crushed. But there are pleasing aesthetics that are totally lost.

WHERE CAN I SEE THIS, THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FLEISCHER SHORTS

Beautiful restoration. I love seeing these old cartoons the way they were originally intended

Thank you for your efforts; you did a great job! I do feel nostalgic for the older version, as I used to watch those classic cartoons on YouTube. However, I'm also glad that we now have a preserved and restored version for future generations to enjoy.

Tech wasn't that bad in the SD era. Some technician should have been fired. The VHS scan was just plain laziness.

I'd love to see the restoration process. This is beautiful!

That's amazing.

What an amazing restoration!!!

looks great cleaned up

it must have been awefully frustrating for the animation team to put so much effort into getting together all these beautiful colors on celluloid being totally destroyed by the bad cameras afterwards

Just WOW!🔥

Incredible! I'm always so impressed to see how great they look, your work is important!

Amazing work! You really restored the feeling the original was meant to give out! I hope you restore more projects soon!

That’s not VHS that’s 35mm scan vhs way too different.

You're an official account or those are fan restorations? In any case is so cool that you're restoring those cartoons

Do I want to know where that phone line goes?

I like the new restoration

thats a funny ass alligator lol

insane how much detail gets fried out of the picture with age. i get why people enjoy the fuzzy, warmer colors, but you straight up miss out on half the cartoon

Jesus Christ, this is incredible work
