Nazar is a real thing! A few days ago I uploaded a picture of this car, and just after driving it for 2–3 days, the E20 petrol completely messed up the fuel system. The fuel pump gave up, the tank had to be drained, and now the engine has started misfiring with rough, unusual idling something that never happened before. This is a 1997 inline-4 petrol engine, and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it behave like this. The older the vehicle, the more severe the impact of E20 seems to be. Here’s a look at my AR keychain prototype !! 🥹🩷 You can swap out icons (for now only the ones i’ve animated… and u know there's is a lot!!), scan it trough filters (for now) and my animation shows up I actually started with a card format at first, but i wanted to spend more time on the designs, so i went with keychains for the first release, i didn’t want to make regular keychains either, and bringing AR together with my animations lets people actually "hold" them instead of them just living on my pc, it makes them feel alive and interactive, something i’ve wanted to try ever since the Nintendo 3ds AR cards 🥹 This is my 4th prototype gulp, and my 5th is already done Will be 3D, look and feel better, will be thinner, doesn’t need the rotating system anymore etc.. (i'm choosing between wood or acrylic for the final version) And in the future, i’m planning to design and make my own app (alrdy started :D) so it doesn’t rely on tiktok/instagram/snap filters, and the animations will be interactive too !! :D i’m also designing custom borders so you can use your keychain without a league border if u don't wanna look like a full on nerd, and i’m working on more AR formats beyond keychains :D More soon, i’m really excited 🥹🩷

The first time people see this place, they assume it is AI-generated. It is not. This wonder is real and it has stood in the sea for thirteen hundred years... It is called Mont Saint-Michel, a small island off the coast of Normandy, where a medieval abbey rises in tiers of stone straight out of the sea, climbing to a single golden spire nearly a hundred metres above the water. There is nothing around it. It stands alone in a vast bay, and the effect is so strange that the eye struggles to accept it: a whole city of stone, floating between the water and the sky. What makes it stranger still is that the sea around it disappears. Mont Saint-Michel sits in a bay with the highest tides in continental Europe. Twice a day the ocean retreats for kilometres, leaving the abbey stranded on a desert of wet sand, and twice a day it floods back in and turns the rock into an island again. The same place is, within hours, surrounded by ocean and surrounded by emptiness. For more than a thousand years, this rhythm has never once stopped. I will never forget the first time I walked into St Peter's Basilica... None of it is painted. Everything overhead that appears to be a fresco is a mosaic: millions of small glass tiles, cut and set into place by hand. Michelangelo pierced the drum with sixteen windows, and beneath them runs a band of text, black on gold: TU ES PETRUS ET SUPER HANC PETRAM AEDIFICABO ECCLESIAM MEAM. "You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church." From the floor it reads like an ordinary inscription but each of those letters is two metres tall... Above the windows the dome divides into sixteen segments, and within them six tiers of figures rise in rings: the popes buried in the basilica, then Christ, the Virgin Mary, St John the Baptist and the Apostles, then angels carrying the instruments of the Passion, then the faces of cherubim and seraphim. Above all of them, a blue sky scattered with gold stars, and at the summit, in the lantern, God the Father. The man who designed it, Giuseppe Cesari, was a painter. Between 1603 and 1612 he produced sixty-five life-size cartoons setting out the whole scheme, and every one of them was then translated into glass by mosaicists. The reason is actually pretty unglamorous. The basilica was damp, and candle smoke and incense from centuries of liturgy were eating the pictures alive. So the Vatican began converting the building into glass, dome by dome, and from the end of the 1600s the painted altarpieces too, one at a time. By the basilica's own reckoning, around ten thousand square metres of mosaic. The workshop that did all of this is still open: twelve artists work in the Vatican Mosaic Studio today, cutting tesserae by hand in nearly 28,000 shades and fixing them with a linseed-oil stucco whose recipe has been in use for four centuries. Earlier this year its director, Paolo Di Buono, described the work: "We have the idea that we are working for something that is almost eternal."

My 2nd trip to Memphis is almost over and I’ve again really enjoyed my time here. So I felt the need to say something, especially after what LeBron said today. This city often gets a very bad rep and I’ve experienced that myself. Players shitting on it, media saying it’s dangerous, people asking me why I’d go here because I wouldn’t be safe, I’ve heard it all. All those people couldn’t be more wrong. This is a city very different from other “typical American cities”. Memphis has it’s own identity, an identity that makes it special. Memphis is a very warm and welcoming city. From the second my first trip started last year I’ve felt welcomed by the people. In the Fedexforum, on the streets, in the airport, in my hotel. My experiences have been nothing but positive. Not once have I felt unsafe or anything remotely close to it, not in my week long stay last year and also not in my almost 2 week long stay this year. Now of course every city has its weaknesses and room for improvement. And that’s where I have to give a lot of credit to the mayor and the people who run this city. Even in the year between my trips there has been clear improvement. The streets are cleaner, there’s roadwork being done and downtown is noticeably more lively compared to last year. Don’t let people who have never been here tell you what and how this city is. Memphis is a unique and beautiful city, Memphis is Memphis. I have truly loved my time here and I can’t wait to keep coming back in the future. But first one more game against Toronto tomorrow.
