It should be banned on the whole continent

Bro I hate these wigs like hell

Black people genuinely look stupid wearing colonial wigs anyway

Bravo, Burkina Faso! 👏🏽👏🏽 A powerful move to reject colonial legacies and reclaim cultural identity. A commendable step toward decolonization and restoring traditional values.

Ibrahim Traoré's already an African legend. If he continues his trajectory, he'll become a global one. Hopefully the other African leaders are getting ready to follow suit (in everything he's doing for his home country, not just the wig ban).

Ibrahim Traoré is going from strength to strength. It is so refreshing to see an African leader who is doing right by his people. We pray for this man to have a long and prosperous reign.

Lol Y’all Hamites need to let the colonial wigs go

Burkina Faso is leading Afrika! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Love it! Last year, a friend in Kenya became a barrister or whatever they call it. Wigs go for 1k. Thats a lot of money for horsehair. Ghanaians tell me that it's actually the new graduates who keep it going. They see the wig as a symbol of their hard work and status.

There’s no African president who’d do what Traore does for his country. This is beautiful to witness and it frees the people from all the little things that might not even seem like slavery. May God bless him with long life

BURKINA FASO: OUT WITH COLONIAL LEGAL ATTIRE Burkina Faso can do fashion revolutions as well as ideological ones! Black gowns and white wigs - the traditional attire of the country’s court magistrates and clerks since colonial times - are out. Legal-sector officials will now wear a locally-sourced and produced garment, made from the traditional Faso Dan Fani fabric. Not only will this support the economy, it’s another example of Africans reshaping their institutions in accordance with their roots. Another win for the Sahel country! Video credit: Abrupt (YouTube)
