I’m sorry but I think you have to be retarded on some level to enjoy Burning Man. Like, I understand the mentality of someone who would enjoy this and I genuinely think they’re just following their programming while ironically thinking that they’re outside of the matrix. There’s nothing more conformist than something like Burning Man where everyone is literally dressed the same. Please.

Sadly, it's real. Even more sadly, the burners are the biggest lot of narcissist losers the world has ever seen. More than once I've been driving thru Nixon (south of that playa) and stopped to help the pissed off Indians clean up the crap burners abandoned on their land. It included broken bicycles, bags of trash, even a semi-trailer full of junk. Self-involved assholes.

I find it noteworthy that the actual outline of the trash fence forms a pentagram on the surface of the playa. In the center of that is The Man. Its a place, a place a god fearing man should steer clear of.
