Trump - Trump - Trump, this is the Liberal platform. That is because the facts are a Liberal government will bring us this, if elected: NATION DEBT: it will increase substantially even surpassing the record Justin Trudeau set. In 2015 it was $612 billion, and the Liberal government increased it to $1.9 trillion by 2024. We currently pay about $54 billion/year in interest or about 23.4% of all federal personal income tax revenues collected during the year (211% increase!). Poilievre has outlined a comprehensive plan to address the national debt by significantly reducing federal deficits through spending cuts and tax reforms. His strategy aims to cut the current deficit by 70%, bringing it down to approximately $31.4 billion in the 2025–26 fiscal. HOUSING: it will increase but far below what Canada needs. The Liberals have made many promises to increase building of houses spending millions of dollars over the past 10 years however, each promise has failed and during some periods, new house building went down. Poilievre has many good plans to increase housing, so good that Carney has copied some of these plans, in his bid to get elected. MILITARY READINESS: it will probably continue to deteriorate. The Liberals have made many promises to improve the Canadian forces and have increase spending, on the military over that past 10 years however, the Canadian armed forces have deteriorated in military readiness dropping substantially. Poilievre will implement many changes including redirecting some foreign aid into the Canadian military. CRIME: it will continue to increase as it has since 2015. Since 2015 Canadians have experienced a drastic increase in “every” crime category, particularly in violent crimes! In 2019 the Liberal government introduced significant changes to Canada's bail system with the passage of Bill C-75, predominantly supported by the Liberal party and opposed by the Conservative party. Bill C-75 forced judges to give bail instead of jail for these repeat offenders causing a significate increase in crime. Carney will not repeal the bill however Poilievre will. THE CARBON TAX: this will increase substantially. Although Carney has “paused” the carbon tax on individuals, it still is being charged to all Canadian business. Carney has already talked about how he will increase the industrial carbon tax which will either result in Canadian businesses to go out of business or raise the prices of their produces which we buy. The personal carbon tax will probably be implemented again using a different name. Poilievre will eliminate the carbon tax “fully”. TAXES (all): Canadians will pay more taxes under Carney, without question. Trudeau made the same tax reduction pledges when elected in 2015 however overall taxes Canadians paid increase by 31% since 2015. Voting for the “same” Liberal party with a new leader will result in increase taxes. Poilievre has pledged to reduce personal income taxes more than Carney, eliminate all carbon taxes, increase the TFSA limits, etc. THE CANADIAN STANDARD of LIVING: it will continue to slide, and our young Canadians will continue to pay the price. Since 2015 when the Liberals were elected to power, the results were a massive increase in the price of housing/rent/taxes/food/gas/electricity/national debt while income has increase well below the above costs. Groceries alone have increase by 32% for a family of 4 since 2015. In summary the Liberal party has destroyed the average Canadians standard of living and for the first time in our history, this generation will do WORSE that prior generations. That trend will reverse via numerous policies by a Conservative government. CORRUPTION: The current Liberal government has been plagued with numerous scandals and corruption over the 10-years in power. The use of the Emergencies power act was used against the Freedom convoy when millions of Canadians protested against government overreach and policies. The emergencies act gave the government sweeping powers and virtually Canada became a communist country during this period! The courts ruled use of these powers was illegal. Some of the scandals included Cash-for-Access Fundraisers (2016), Raj Grewal Gambling Scandal (2018), SNC-Lavalin Affair (2019), WE Charity Scandal (2020) and recently Foreign Interference Allegations (2023). Carney is already showing this pattern of corruption, and it will probably continue. As his role of Vice Chair and Head of Transition in Brookfield Asset Management, he has been caught in outright lies regarding moving the company from Toronto to New York and other business dealings and will not release his financial dealings prior to the election. FREEDOMS: There is no sign that Carney will reverse any of the bills passed by this current Liberal government which millions of Canadians have identified as attacks of freedoms. He will pass a bill, if elected, that will ban the purchase gas vehicles, forcing Canadians to buy electric vehicles. This shows his direction regarding Canadian freedoms of choice. Over the past 10 years of Liberal reign, they have passed many bills attacking Canadian freedoms including Bill C-36 (2021) (did not pass as parliament was dissolved) which amend the Criminal Code and the Canadian Human Rights Act giving the government sweeping powers to criminalize Canadians posting online content, Bill C-21 which made some legal gun owners criminals in the name of “firearms control” and Bill C-11 giving the government control over online content which sparked debate over its potential impact on freedom of expression and regulatory overreach.
