“But dirty air has always been an issue, the problem is the track” Respectfully shut the fuck up. The dirty air has always existed, true, but its only completely insurmountable in the current car (and 550hp). You’re lying to yourself if you think the next gen is acceptable.

Like yeah 2017-2018 races were often miserable but it usually wasn’t solely because the car behind couldn’t pass, it was boring but the good cars could get to where they deserved to be instead of being stuck half a second back no matter what they do and unable to pass objectively worse cars

Who are these announcers and why do they have so much energy? I miss peak Dale and Rick.

I think Jeff Burton is a lot of the energy here. Basically a higher pitched Dale Jr

The current car is a pile of shit

Just look at the O’Reilly race on Saturday you could pass in the race Sunday I didn’t see no passes

Passing at indy should be hard, but not impossible. It's not a track problem, it's a car problem.

Tbf Denny had Wheels as his crew chief that year and he had stayed out on much older tires. There was a huge tire difference there. But even that didn't make a lick of difference this year.

I miss the 750hp high horsepower low drag get loose and keep your foot in it if you dare to try of 2017-2018.

Idk if there was one actual pass yesterday

You just remember the race you are currently watching be better with rose colored glasses or something.

Except no matter how emotional you get, Indy will always suck, it will always be one lane, there will never be but a pass here and there. Nothing will change. This clip is one moment out of 3hrs of boring shit year after year.

It’s the cars

About 2 good races at Indy. This is one of them

It’s clearly not the track but the GT3 glued to the pavement ‼️

@jeff_gluck

This car is designed for dirty air....

Veracity

The issue will always be the track. You can pull up 2007 and 2018 to all u want to trash the next gen and sure the dirty air really is a problem but the issue will always be the track

It doesn't matter what car you use at Indy, the problem IS and will ALWAYS be the freaking track. It was never intended for stock car racing, it's too flat. The Brickyard was nice gimmick at one time but that time has passed. Much better stock car tracks deserve NASCAR.

Agree. The problem is not the dirty air, but how the car reacts to it. Race cars can't be too sensitive to dirty air otherwise you have problems like this. And you need power too.

The second race in 1995, Rusty couldn’t get a run on Dale Sr because of aero. This car makes it worse

These cars were so goated omggggg

No you’re lying to YOUR self. If it’s insurmountable then the #Gen7 would keep losing to the O Reilly car in passing incidence and the fact remains the Gen7 keeps BEATING the O Reilly car there. Kvapil was just as unpassable Saturday as Heim on Sunday. Get the grip over horsepower balance Indycars have there

LOOK WHAT THEY TOOK FROM US

This must be the race Trotta watched this past weekend.
