New leasehold flats in England and Wales are set to be banned as the UK government plans to move to a system of home ownership, where people own a share of the buildings they live in. Currently, a third-party landlord known as a 'freeholder' owns the building and a 'leaseholder' pays to live in a flat within it for a fixed time period.

California Governor candidate Chad Bianco says if he wins, he can easily eliminate the state income tax and move to a flat tax system - California has a 13.3%, the highest in the country - On day one “I just said we're completely eliminating the tax code and we're just going to go to a 5% flat tax, everybody's going to pay 5% flat tax” - The revenue that would be generated from that is only $30 billion less than what California gets now - California spends $30 billion per year on illegal immigrants to keep them in the state “So you stop that. Now we don't have to do anything.” So to recap - End the income tax - Switch to 5% flat tax - End benefits for illegals Easy and Americans get to keep way more of their money. Vote for Chad Bianco

Jobs are flat, productivity near the bottom of the OECD, and living costs are crushing households. Mass migration strained housing and healthcare. No pipelines, no industrial growth, stagnant wages. Fine for Davos but it's not delivering anything to Canadians.
