Man! I had this bike. I changed the handlebars to some sweet red Race Inc ones and they promptly broke at the Tuff Neck on my first jump. It hurt.

Even though coming up on 60, still one of the greatest feelings of my life in 1980. Dad taking me to the bike shop and taking that gleaming Motomag Goose off the floor and riding it home.

My buddy Dave had a Mongoose. I was jealous. My family was poor.

Come on rare, you know the red line was the king weighed a good 1 lb lighter just a little later in the game, so it makes it better! OK I’m biased!

I wanted one of these soooo bad. Instead I got a Huffy with a banana seat. I rode the fuck out of that thing and tried to convince my friends the banana seat was far superior for 'real bmx'.
