This was one of the most incredible wildlife encounters I’ve ever had — seen while tidepooling on the Northern California coast. (Also please enjoy the look of sheer terror on my friend 😅)

Phenomenal. That octopus probably lives in that rock cave and uses the low tide strategy to lure big prey. It might not be possible to take this large fish when it’s buoyant.
