Something unusual appears to be going on today at RAF Fairford near Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom, with at least 10 C-17A Globemaster IIIs with the U.S. Air Force arriving at the base or currently crossing the Atlantic from the United States. Almost all of the C-17s appear to be out of either Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, the home of the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR); or Campbell Army Airfield in Kentucky, which houses the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st/2nd Battalions of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR).

BREAKING: The Indian Air Force has hit the Bholari Airbase of Pakistan Air Force in the Sindh Province. It’s one of Pakistan’s most modern main operational bases hosting squadrons of F-16 and JF-17 fighter jets along with SAAB 2000 AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) aircraft. It’s strategically significant for supporting Pakistan Army land operations and Pakistan Navy maritime operations, particularly in safeguarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It’s the deepest Indian Air Force strike against Pakistan so far.

Good morning comrades and Kenyans on Twitter, Mukuru Community Justice Centre leadership has been summoned to appear before the DCI at 11am today. We suspect it can either be because of our scheduled campaign to ask for justice for GenZ Kware Bodies or because some of our members were trained citizen journalists working for Sema Ukweli during the GenZ protests of 2024 and they are being suspected of working with BBC. Cc. 🇰🇪 James WaNjeri, Walli potter BBC News Africa and UK in Kenya 🇬🇧🇰🇪 and EU Ambassador to Kenya

🇨🇳 U.S. aircraft, air defenses and Japanese AWACS: China is practicing strikes on American and Japanese military targets for a war over Taiwan. Satellite images of the Lop Nur range in Xinjiang show a new test pad with full-size mock-ups of American and Japanese military systems. Among them are F-35 and F-16 fighters, a Patriot air-defense battery, and an E-767 airborne early-warning aircraft, a type flown only by Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force. Japan has just four E-767s. They find air and sea targets, coordinate aircraft and sit at the center of allied command in the western Pacific. Building mock-ups like these means the Chinese army is practicing how to find, fix, and strike high-value targets. Such pads are used to test precision weapons, guidance, and the effect of a hit. The choice of targets shows who Beijing treats as the priority enemy in a possible Taiwan fight: U.S. aircraft, air defenses and Japanese AWACS. It was previously revealed that China had built a replica of Taiwan's government district to practice scenarios for its military seizure.

🇬🇧 Britain parachuted a medical team onto one of the most remote islands on earth to treat someone for hantavirus A British national who disembarked from the MV Hondius returned home to Tristan da Cunha, a South Atlantic island with no airstrip, only accessible by boat, with a suspected infection. So the UK flew an RAF A400M nearly 10,000km from Brize Norton, mid-air refuelled over the Atlantic, and dropped 6 paratroopers, an RAF consultant, an Army nurse, oxygen supplies, and medical equipment directly onto the island. They confirmed it was the first time medical personnel had ever been parachuted in for humanitarian support. Source: The Sun
