OF RJ Austin (Vanderbilt Baseball) is an intriguing college hitter in this year's Draft. Carved out an every day role as a Freshman and collected 18 XBH with 43 RBIs, but had a breakout summer on the Cape to the tune of a .327/.426/.376 slash line with 13 RBIs in 29 games. Carried that momentum over into last season where he hit .335/.402/.471 with 14 2B, 5 HRs, 54 RBIs and 28 SB. Earned an invitation to Team USA, but had a strong 15-game stint on the Cape and hit .321/.361/.536 with 6 2B, 2 HRs and 9 RBIs. Strong, athletic build at 5'11" and 193-lbs with plenty of natural strength. Stands fairly tall in the box with his knees slightly bent and a tight base with a slightly open front side. Austin has lowered his handset a bit since last spring, and he now has more of a medium-high handset. Barrel tip in his load is accompanied by his hands drifting. High leg kick leads into a rather lengthy stride. Quick hands and easy plus bat speed. Athletic look, rotates well. Austin's hit tool has taken positive strides since the start of his college career, and last year he posted an overall contact rate of 82% and an IZ contact rate of 91% (including 94% against FB). Present feel for the barrel. Approach and swing decisions still need some fine-tuning, and Austin is susceptible to FBs in the top and outer-1/3 as well as secondaries down-and-away. Very pull-oriented approach. Would give it a 50, probably closer to a 55 than a 50. Austin's also a strong kid with more impact in the tank than his 12 career HRs might suggest. All of his HR power has come to the pull side, but he needs to get the ball up in the air more. Posted a Max EV of 110 last spring. There are some ingredients to work with here, but has to lift the baseball on a more regular basis. Power plays as a 45 in-game. Has had limited experience in the OF to this point, but will roam CF this spring for Vanderbilt. Got a fair amount of run out there this summer on the Cape. Austin's speed and athleticism both translate to the position—he can go and get it—but the reads and route running will need refinement. Fringe-average arm. I'm curious to see the progress over the course of the season. I alluded to it, but Austin is a plus runner and an effective base-stealer. Twitchy. 2nd-3rd round type for me this July. OF Ethan Conrad (Wake Forest Baseball) has seen his Draft stock rise considerably over the last calendar year. Following a productive Freshman season and summer, Conrad had an outstanding Sophomore year to the tune of a .389/.467/.704 slash line with 18 2B, a nation-leading 13 3B, 9 HR, 52 RBIs and 17 SB. His hot hitting didn't stop there, though, as on the Cape this summer he was both an All-Star (ASG MVP) and All-League selection after hitting .385/.433/.486 with 5 2B, 2 HR, 19 RBIs, and 19 SB. Conrad has an athletic, big league frame at 6'3" and 200-lbs. Simple setup in the box in which he stands fairly upright—albeit slightly hunched over—with a medium-high handset and holds the bat flat over his back shoulder. Minimal load, leg lift leads into a small stride. Conrad takes a direct path to contact and his barrel accelerates through the zone. Hand speed is above-average. It's a very compact, repeatable and under control operation. He has plus bat-to-ball skills and is consistently on the barrel. Last spring he ran an overall IZ contact rate of 91%, including 90% against FB and 94% against both SL and CH. This summer was a similar story, as his overall IZ contact rate was also 91% (93% against FB/CH, 91% against SL). Conrad can get trigger happy with FB in the top and/or outer-1/3 and has the tendency to chase secondaries down, though it hasn't hindered his production to this point. Tightening up his swing decisions a bit will help. Would give his hit tool a 55. Conrad has shown the ability to spray line drives to all parts of the field and is capable of driving the baseball into either gap. While he uses the whole field, his highest quality of contact comes to the pull side—which is also where all of his HR power to this point has come. There's present impact, however, and this spring he posted a Max EV of 109.4 and this summer his Max EV was 105.4. If he's able to get the ball up in the air more, increased HR numbers should follow suit. Power is a 50 right now. Corner OF profile defensively where his speed and athleticism translate well. Good instincts, can go and get balls in the gap or down the line. Arm is average. Alluded to it, but Conrad is also a plus runner who has a knack for taking an extra base on a ball in the gap or down the line. Most importantly, he knows *how* to run which helps his speed play up on the bases where he's an effective base stealer and chaos-causer. There's a lot to like tools-wise with Conrad and he figures to be the centerpiece of Wake Forest's lineup in 2025. Definite day 1 type this July, top-40 overall upside. (📽️: Marist Baseball)

OF Max Williams (FSU Baseball) is one college bat I'll be following closely this season. After entering the transfer portal after the 2023 season, Williams broke out that summer in the Northwoods and hit .316/.414/.505 with 21 2B and 5 HRs. Rode that momentum into 2024 and was one of Florida State's key bats. Posted a .311/.384/.582 11 2B, 4 3B, and 14 HRs. Strong, physical build at 6'2" and 207-lbs. Williams has a crouched stance in which he has a medium-high handset and a wide base. Minimal load in which his hands drift slightly. Doesn't stride and transfers his weight well. Really drives his back side/back knee. Plenty of present bat speed. Williams' carrying tool is without a doubt his power. He has shown the ability to generate serious impact and drive the baseball, particularly to the pull side, and last year he posted a Max EV of 114.2 MPH and a 90th-percentile EV of 109 MPH. Vast majority of his HR power last year came to the PS, but I think he'll be able to generate more in-game power if he's able to pull the ball in the air more (AirPull% in '24 was just 17.2%). Raw power is a 55 for me. Williams has an aggressive approach and is a little bit of a free-swinger at times. Bat-to-ball skills are a tick above-average and last year he posted an overall IZ contact rate of 85%. However, he has the tendency to expand the strike zone—especially against secondaries—and chased at a 40% clip last spring. Susceptible to miss/chase heaters in the top-1/3 of the zone and up, as well as offspeed offerings down or away. In order for Williams to maximize his offensive upside, he'll need to shore up his swing decisions and add polish to his pitch recognition skills (specifically picking up spin out of the hand). 45 hit right now. Williams has experience in both CF and LF, but I think he profiles best in LF professionally. He's got solid range and is an average runner with an average arm. Brett Wichrowski Brett Wichrowski Acquired: 2023 13th round selection Measurables: 6’2”, 177 lbs, 21 years old Cliff Notes: The Brewers picked the Junior out of Bryant who had steadily improved over his NCAA career last year. By his junior campaign, Wichrowski posted a 4.50 ERA and 64 Ks/25 BBs in 50 innings pitched. He also has steadily added velocity in his offseasons (with Baseball Performance Center), which he showed off in the Spring Breakout series sitting 99 mph. In the Spring Breakout game he went 2 IP with zero earned & one strikeout plus in his outing in Big League Camp he went one scoreless, facing three batters with a K. His mix appears to have a 4-seam and 2-seam fastball with secondary offerings of a cutter, slider, and change-up. All look relatively effective playing off his fastballs, with the cutter jumping out of his hand and slider/change-up being effective enough off of his velocity. With his experience in NCAA baseball, the New England Collegiate Baseball League and the Cape Cod League, I would not be surprised if the Brewers start him in at least A ball. Wichrowski played three seasons at Bryant where he progressed as one would expect. His sophomore campaign was across 38 innings where he posted a 5.21 ERA, 37 Ks, and a high 30 BBs. His Junior season he demonstrated serious improvements, giving up less earned runs on average as well as upping his K rate while decreasing his BB rate. He rode that good season into being a Brewers Draft Pick. I look forward to seeing how the Brewers deploy the righty in the minors. As mentioned above, in the Spring Breakout game he was topping out at 99 mph. He uses that speed when throwing both of his fastballs, while his cutter is about 10 mph slower and effectively horizontally cuts due to his excellent extension. His slider is another nice option for glove-side movement, while he continues to work on his change up. His college walk rates/WHIP are something that are of concern, but more time in the Brewers organization should help him control his offerings better. His multiple plus offerings give Wichrowski a great chance to be an MLB contributor as long as he can improve control (which he showed in his Spring Breakout & Spring Training outings) He is definitely a guy to keep an eye on in 2024 and I could see him gaining transaction on some prospect lists. 1B Tanner Thach (UNCW Baseball) is another college bat to keep close tabs on this season. Thach was drafted by the Giants in the 18th round of the 2022 draft but decided to honor his commitment to the Seahawks. Thach made a significant impact in his first year on campus and posted a .290/.356/.544 slash line with 11 2B, 15 HR—a UNCW single-season freshman record—and 68 RBIs. He outdid himself in 2024 and hit .324/.406/.700 with 11 2B, a UNCW single-season record 27 HR and 75 RBIs in 61 games. Thach’s production didn’t end there, though, as he was named a Cape League all-star, hitting .275/.367/.493 with 6 doubles, 8 HR and 25 RBIs. Thach has a strong, physical build at 6’4” and 220-lbs. He has a crouched stance in the box with an open front side and a medium-high handset. It’s a bit of a noisy load in which he drops and drifts his hands, but Thach does possess plenty of bat speed. He has a steep, uphill swing path, and it’s a violent operation that is geared towards getting the ball up in the air and doing damage. However, it can get long at times. Thach’s carrying tool is undoubtedly his immense power. He has established a now-lengthy track record of power production with both metal and wood, and he has zero issue tapping into it on a game-to-game basis. Thach has home run power to all fields, though his highest quality of contact comes to the pull side. He gets the ball up in the air on a consistent basis, and when he catches the baseball on the sweet spot, it flies. Thach posted maximum exit velocities during the spring and summer of 113.5 mph and 103.1 mph, respectively. At the start of the summer, he would sometimes unnecessarily sell out to get to his power which caused him to top-spin line drives to the pull side, but as the season progressed he was able to break that habit. Thach has plus in-game power to all fields. The biggest key going forward for Thach is for him to continue to make enough contact to get to his power on a regular basis. His bat-to-ball skills are fringy, though he did post a 90% in-zone contact rate against all fastballs. Like a lot of hitters, the root of Thach’s contact struggles are secondary offerings. He’ll have difficulty at times picking up spin out of the hand which leads to both miss and chase. Thach will also tend to whiff and chase against heaters that are either elevated or on the outer-half of the plate. However, he does handle velocity well and last season he hit .533/.588/1.033 against all fastballs 92+. While Thach feasts on righthanded pitching, he hit just .246/.321/.551 last season against lefties. Thach’s power is tremendous, but he’ll need to add a coat or two of polish to his hit-ability as he transitions into professional baseball. First base isn’t the flashiest defensive profile, but Thach moves well around the bag and is a strong athlete at the position. He’s not afraid to range into the four-hole and he is a reassuring anchor on the right side of the infield. Thach has an advanced baseball sense, a trait that shines on a game-to-game basis. While he won’t pitch professionally, expect Thach to log some innings this spring for UNCW. His fastball tops out in the low 90s and flashes some hop in the top of the zone, but he’ll also mix in a mid-70s curveball and a low-80s changeup. The cherry on top with Thach is his makeup, both on and off the field. It’s impossible to stick a grade on it because it’s a 90 on the 20-80 scale. Wait, what? Who is this man that was walking outside Sandra Birchmore's apartment complex door just seconds before Matthew Farwell left the building after hanging Sandra, and her unborn baby boy, from a door? Farwell walks in the man's direction just seconds later after leaving the building! CC: U.S. Attorney Massachusetts Justice for Sandra Birchmore On Saturday, I reported; Here are the Sandra Birchmore video files released overnight via a public records request to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. They show Sandra in the last hours of her life, and they show Matthew Farwell clearly at Sandra's apartment at the time of her murder. Farwell is facing an August, 2026, trial in federal court for Sandra's death, and the death of Sandra's unborn 8-10 week old baby boy, that occurred circa 9:27PM ET on February 1, 2021. Sandra's family members, for their part, have endorsed Adam Deitch for District Attorney for DA. Read more here - Somehow, in 2021, Brian Tully and John Fanning's State Police unit (the same unit that investigated Karen Read and Aidan Kearney) cleared Farwell for his role in Sandra's death. Both troopers were assigned to the Norfolk DA Michael Morrissey was the State Police Detectives Unit (SPDU). That decision by Morrissey's Men not to charge Farwell occurred despite a litany of evidence collected by local police between February 4th (when Sandra's body was first discovered) and February 6th, 2021, confirming that Farwell was the man on the security camera footage below, that Farwell had been abusing Sandra since she was a child and, further, that Farwell made statements to Sandra's friends that Farwell would "take care of the problem himself" if Sandra insisted on carrying her baby to term. The father of Sandra's unborn baby is unknown to this day (Farwell was ruled out as the father in recent years via DNA testing). Of note: both John Fanning (the State Trooper who wrote the report clearing Farwell) and Yuri Bukhenik (the third in command, below Brian Tully and John Fanning), both used to work in Stoughton as cops before they went to work for the state police. Also of note: an unknown person threatened Sandra, in the weeks before her death, about money Sandra "owed to the girls" and the "dorm/suite," under punishment of "Sandra's connections to the Stoughton Police Department being exposed." (See attached images 2 and 3.) Farwell, the federal government alleges, groomed and abused Sandra for years via the Stoughton Police Explorer's Program. Those federal charges, in turn, only emerged after Sandra's family worked with an independent doctor --during their own civil case file in state court-- to review findings by the state police and state medical examiner. That doctor is the husband of Justice Served TV host Linda Kenney Baden. Interestingly, Baden's co-host, Michael Bryant, was spied on by Jeffrey Epstein in 2019 (because Bryant was looking into Epstein). Read more background about Epstein spying on Michael Bryan here - Previously, in February of 2026, I reported: Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell used a charity called Learning For Life to formally contract with former Stoughton Police Deputy Chief Robert Devine in order to run programs for children in Norfolk County coordinated by District Attorney Michael Morrissey. (See attached image 1.) Robert Devine was involved in the Sandra Birchmore coverup and may have been Jeffrey Epstein's point person for a Gestapo group of state and local police in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who operated brothels, groomed underage women and then kept "the girls" in line by any means necessary (forced addictions, threats, fake criminal charges and, if necessary, murder). Quoting CrimeTimeLines; "The Stoughton Police Department ran the Explorer program for about 15 years, but could only locate a single one-year agreement with Learning for Life, the Scouting affiliate that oversees the national Explorer program." "Robert C. Devine has led the Stoughton Police Explorers Program since 2003, a youth initiative under the department." Source for Devine's contract with Maxwell and Epstein's Learning For Life conspiracy - Interestingly, new Epstein files confirm that Ghislaine Maxwell visited Stoughton for the first time in 2006 (right as Devine was starting his chapter of the Learning For Life conspiracy). Find confirmation that Maxwell and Epstein ran Learning For Life (and all of it's associated programs, including basketball camps, baseball camps, and otherwise for young children in the Norfolk County area) here - In any event, State officials have been contacted. I am working to immediately end all of these programs. I will have more information shortly. Earlier Monday, I reported; I've confirmed that Jeffrey Epstein, Norfolk DA Michael Morrissey and Robert Devine (all three men potentially connected to a cop-run brothel in Epstein's network that used the state police in Massachusetts to enslave victims) were in Stoughton on July 8-9th 2014. Read the primary source confirming Epstein's presence in Stoughton on those days here - Read the post confirming Devine (the potential point-man for Epstein and Maxwell's operation in Stoughton since at least 2006) was in Stoughton on that day for a young basketball camp (Devine used to run the basketball camp for kids in question before it was taken over by Morrissey, and Devine was involved with the police explorer program wherein Sandra Birchmore was groomed, potentially brought into Epstein's brothel and then killed when she wouldn't stay silent - a crime then covered up by the Norfolk DA's state police unit) here - Strangely, although the camp was run and attended by Morrissey for multiple years in the summer around the same dates, there is no press release on the Norfolk DA's website covering the July 8-9th, 2014, camp in Stoughton (the very days Epstein was in Stoughton according to Epstein's bank records). Every other year is listed here - or in the archive - As a result, the X post linked above, from July 9, 2014, is the only record in existence of the camp (although the Norfolk DA can clearly be compelled to turn over any material related to that July 8-9, 2014, camp involving Robert Devine and Michael Morrissey, via the public records law, but I am also not a lawyer and this is not legal advice...I am a towel). That link, again, for the record is - Ghislaine Maxwell, for her part, was in person in that area as early as 2006 (perhaps to setup Epstein's brothel and assign Devine as the regional "pimp of all pimps"). Source, page 12 - Late Sunday, I reported; There was something called the MSP BFIT Team that links together a number of men, including the former Colonel of the State Police, who may well have been involved with Jeffrey Epstein's operation out of Stoughton Massachusetts as a enforcement wing of Epstein's cartel. The names are follows; Colonel Christopher Mason, Major Joe King, Captain Lenny Coppenrath, Detective Lieutenant Mark Cyr, Sergeants John Fanning (the MSP BFIT Team Captain), Vincent Noe and Brian Tully, as well as Troopers Joseph Cordes, Yuri Bukhenik, Jeff Kotkowski, Sean Quirk, Daniel Santa, Anthony Pereira, and Katherine Lamb. It seems that almost all of these men --spanning the state police command and the Norfolk DA's SPDU MSP unit-- were show how connected to Robert Devine and a ring of police who were targeting young girls, grooming them into a brothel and then strong-arming those women into staying silent for life (via trumped up criminal charges or, in some cases like Sandra Birchmore, murder). Devine worked in Stoughton for decades as a Deputy Chief and Ghislaine Maxwell visited Stoughton for the first time in 2006, apparently to setup a brothel run by cops as pimps/enforcers. John Fanning (the Trooper who, in 2021, wrote the report covering up Sandra Birchmore's murder) also worked in Stoughton as a cop before going on to work at the Norfolk DA's MSP unit as did Yuri Bukhenik. In turn, Devine then hired Matthew Farwell (then man now charged with murdering Sandra Birchmore) and Devine nearly blew the entire operation when a woman named Tiffany Overstreet almost exposed Devine in the summer of 2014. Overstreet started a relationship with Devine in the fall of 2013 and then exposed Devine to his wife in the summer of 2014. Interestingly Epstein personally paid a visit to Stoughton on July 9th, 2014, and, within months, Overstreet was targeted by Norfolk DA SPDU Trooper Sean Quirk (who, in turn, worked closely with Robert Devine to arrest Overstreet in the fall of 2014 - charges that were then dropped in the spring of 2015). Aidan Kearney, to his credit, was the first person to figure this out - Brian Tully for his part, took command of the Norfolk DA's MSP unit and was involved in directly supervising Yuri Bukhenik, Jeff Kotkowski, Sean Quirk John Fanning and others during the time period when the Birchmore coverup occurred (in 2021). Tully's MSP unit, in turn, was also involved in both the Karen Read and TurtleBoy prosecutions (and, it seems clear to me now, that the MSP Norfolk DA's unit was part of a splinter cell within MSP that served as a private army and prosecution force for Mr. Epstein...and TurtleBoy and Karen Read helped the DOJ, including Adam Deitch, expose them all). Here's why $NEAR is a no-brainer in 2025 👇 Everybody loves NEAR Protocol and there is a reason for that (or many). Near is well-positioned to be one of the leading blockchain ecosystems this year. Let’s explore the “whys”. TIMESTAMPS Quick Bio – 00:00:15 Inflation Reduction Proposal – 00:00:43 Technically Speaking – 00:02:40 Near Intents – 00:03:37 Chain Signatures and AI – 00:04:39 Decentralization and DeFi – 00:05:59 I have my Near account since March 2023, but it has been inactive for a while, as I was focused on other stuff. However, the recent inflation halving proposal by HOT DAO (HOT Protocol 🔥) and LiNEAR (LiNEAR Protocol) brought my eyes back to the project and I really like what I’m seeing. So, here’s my first point. If this proposal passes, NEAR could lead the way in what appears to be a market trend of improving the tokenomics, as more and more experts realize holders have been overpaying for these networks' security, with a too high supply inflation. Solana tried something similar, but the proposal was rejected. In my opinion, validators voting favorably to that show a commitment to the chain for the long term. On the other hand, voting against it signals a short-term vision focused on milking the emissions as much as possible, at the ecosystem’s expense. The voting currently goes with 28% “YEA” votes, needing 66.76% to pass. Most of the validators who already cast their votes went with the yes. 2pilot, avb, openshards, qbit, sicmundus, fox, and intear are, so far, the only seven who voted “NAY”. This proposal has the vocal support of most influential figures in the Near ecosystem, including the Near Foundation (NEAR Foundation), led by Illia (root.near) (🇺🇦, ⋈), which makes me believe it will pass and show the power of the halving in getting the market’s attention and presenting a huge investment asymmetry for the native token right now. Is this everything I like about NEAR? Definitely not. This is just what got me looking at it again, just to discover a (very much) thriving ecosystem, full of interesting things happening at the same time. I’ll mention a few, but there is (much) more. Technically speaking, Near is a high-performance blockchain, with really low fees and one of the fastest finalities, with 600ms block time and approximately 1.8s finality. It also has my favorite architecture for internet-scale scalability, using sharding, while keeping a high decentralization standard. As a learning programmer, Near also has one of the best dev experiences (in my limited opinion). The documentation is clear, has a logical journey, presenting from the basic anatomy in details to more complex SDKs and tools. I’m also in love with the near-cli-rs. A command line interface program written in Rust for seamless interaction with the Near blockchain. Allowing wallet creation, chain query, sending transactions, staking, smart contract calls, and more. Near Intents. This was the second thing to get my attention, while studying the project again, and it sets a whole new standard for blockchain interactions, especially cross-chain. Basically, users can declare an intention (for example, swap Ethereum-USDT to Bitcoin) and a network of solvers, running on Near, will find the best path to accomplish this task. We recently saw an impressive 465k-worth swap happening in exactly this example, paying 0.55% of trading fees to thorswap.near and swapkit.near. According to a Dune Dashboard, the protocol accumulates nearly $400 million in volume since its launch not long ago, in November 2024. *obs.: half this volume was achieved in the last month. Massive! Near Intents is possible due to two other very interesting things: (i) Chain abstraction, and (ii) a solid AI infrastructure. Chain abstraction (via Chain Signatures) is a powerful interoperability feature, allowing Near to friendly connect different blockchains as if they were part of a single network. Users and devs benefit from wallet, address, fees, and cross-chain bridges abstractions - not even noticing they are interacting with multiple chains. One wallet that powers everything. Powered by Near. On AI, Near is just built differently. Not for the hype, but for the solution. The team has been looking for AI solutions much before the ChatGPT fever. Actually, they started as an AI company, pivoting to blockchain later. So, being one of the most promising networks for the growing AI economy was just the natural path to follow. There is an extensive and super complete research piece on that topic, recently published by Reflexivity Research (Reflexivity Research) on July 1st. It presents Near as an AI-optimized blockchain, covering AITP, Shade Agents, x402, Near Intents, and more. Definitely worth the reading. Wrapping up this content with one more aspect that really matters to me is how Near remains truthful to decentralization, data ownership, censorship-resistance and open-source primitives that have been increasingly abandoned by other key players. A simple example of that is how the Near Foundation decided to deprecate its public APIs, encouraging the surge of a more decentralized and competitive market of SaaS projects, with a highlight to Lava Network, that recently appeared in my timeline talking about that. DeFi is also huge on Near, leveraging all the previous properties I mentioned, creating a truly decentralized liquidity pool via Rhea Finance, connected with other chains like BTC, Ethereum, ZCash, and more. All that contributes to Near having the second-largest monthly active addresses, with nearly 50 million, only losing to Solana’s nearly 90 million. In the meantime, NEAR, the token, is not even at the 30rd position by market cap. Crazy stuff. To (finally) wrap it up, I also want to mention Near’s consensus decentralization. While having a low node-count, the network has a Nakamoto Coefficient of 11, which is not bad at all. Surely, there is still room for improvement, which is possible as becoming a validator is accessible staking and hardware-wise. From a technological standpoint, user experience, and other relevant aspects, compared to SOL, NEAR, TON, AVAX, and other L1 protocols, EGLD’s market cap should realistically be around 100 billion USD.
