Cache is back in CS2, and this is exactly how you make a Counter-Strike map. They completely remade the map from the ground up, absolutely nothing remains from the version from the workshop. Gameplay on the new cache is very clean and smooth without too much physical or visual...

My top 3 in voting was 1. cs_alpine 2. de_golden 3. de_warden This is Golden; a very interesting layout that takes a little getting used to, hence me dying a lot at the start of this playtest but it gets better. This is the map I want to play the most due to the layout. This contest had a number of daring and unique layouts (contact is also worth a look); for me this one was the most intriguing and perhaps offers something new to CS2 . Perhaps Overpass stans will get the mental juices flowing on this map. Maps like these offer something new and challenging to CS, beyond the tried and tested layout formula that we are all familiar with. When CS2 add new community maps in updates, I think a video should accompany the changes with fly-throughs and some words on the type of map it is to encourage people to test the waters of these new maps and potentially shape the future of the active duty map pool.

I found a new way of getting out the map on poolday: You need to time a crouch jump perfectly while the map is transitioning to the 1.6 version, if you jump too early you will die to a trigger_hurt if its too late you wont jump high enough to clip through the glass, while you are on top of the map there is no clipping stopping you from jumping out so you can either jump down landing in water or edgebug on the bin to survive the fall and explore the outside of the cs2 version of the map

An interesting issue with Tesla Robotaxi where it took us to a Starbucks, but the Google data had the incorrect location. At drop off we were 0.2 miles from the Starbucks, so we had a short walk. Is there a way the Tesla AI team could add functionality in the app so riders can update map info to correct errors or inaccuracies on the underlying map data and then this propagates to the fleet? Being able to do this with a pin drop on the map instead of having to use an address might make this very easy and user friendly! Or, as a bigger ask, would it be possible for the car to be able to use visual images on its own to look for a Starbucks sign and on the fly, get us closer and update the map data on its own?

It's here! All power assets are now live on my GB Renewables Map ⚡ That's right, it's not just wind farms any more. Now you can see live and historic data for gas power plants, nuclear, grid batteries, biomass, pumped hydro and even a bit of solar. Wind farms are still the default for now, though you can enable as many or as few of the other fuel types and your selection will be remembered when you come back to the website. It's already live so go play for yourself here: There are numerous other updates as well: ⛔ Click the plug button to see a curtailment view, now including turn-up and a better visual representation of turn-down and turn-up actions ℹ️ Tooltips include loads more detail about fuel type and balancing actions ☢️ Each fuel type can be toggled using the map buttons 🧠 Map state is remembered when you reload or revisit the website ✨ Lots of new and under construction power assets are now on the map ↕️ Summary of balancing actions at the top of the map 🚦 Grid boundaries and constraints shown using a traffic light system And I'm only getting started! Put aside for a moment that this TikToker is using a Bible translation from the era of the Spanish Inquisition to make her point. It says Judea on the map she shows, as well as Sumeria, Modi'in, Hebron, Caesarea, and Jerusalem. The map itself doesn't list the name Palestine. The map TITLE says it is a map of Palestine (as it was called by the Romans when they expelled the Jews in 135 CE) during the time of the New Testament. So what she is showing is that at the time the map was created (the 1500s), people knew that when Jesus was alive, he was living in Judea. She is disproving her own point, and 700,000 people who liked this video didn't notice 🤦‍♂️

This is our Trackmania streamers' campain submission with a map called ▶️Snowballin' 🏅 GPS Time (01'18"290) I built this in sections together with my friends Röder Kilian 東京🇯🇵 Armin and Illuminatu and our plan was to showcase and implement many of the new tricks and skills needed that came with the Snow update. Our original plan was to build a multilap map with 2 rounds, one round driven entirely with the Stadium car and the other round driven with the Snow car. However we soon decided that this plan was a bit too ambitious for our mapping skills, as it is quite tough to build paths that work with both the Stadium and Snow car equally well. So we started over again and Röder had the great idea to re-use part of the start blocks later in the race while driving the Snow car, so we still have a somewhat "multi-lappy" feel to the map. All in all I think this map is quite challenging, yet very fun to hunt, as it really rewards good turns and fast exits as the snowball effect is very important on this track (hence why we gave it the name Snowballin'). To make sure I don't channel all the hate that this map might give us just to myself, I rendered this small run for you (GPS Time (01'18"290)) so you can see and @ the person who's part you hated the most! 😂

Here's a copy/paste prompt recipe and vid showing exactly how to ask an LLM for an interactive map with satellite/map layers + a georeferencer that lets you see how old maps correspond with modern geography. Today the computer can’t make good print maps (that's your hill to climb ) but it can, with five bucks and twenty minutes, make good interactive maps. No software/GIS knowledge necessary, you just need a few nouns and an LLM. Scroll to the bottom for the repo/live map if you want those. I'm using Claude Code as an extension in VS Code but you can use the Claude CLI, Cursor, whatever. 1) Let's grab an old cadastral map and see who owned big tracts of a city; I found this an 1854 map of Niagara Falls, NY I found in the Library of Congress: , grabbed the .jp2, saved as a jpg from photoshop. 2) Let's ask Claude Code for a map. You can see exactly what I did in the video but my prompt, sans simple "hey it's busted" debugging, is written out in the following paragraphs. I explain the map-specific nouns in brackets. You can likely dump this whole thing in your LLM window and it'll work; I'd try plan mode + skip permissions. THE PROMPT Make an interactive map with MapLibre GL JS [maplibre is a javascript mapping library, a FOSS version of Mapbox GL JS. This lets us display tiled map data and arbitrary images on the map] Add basemap toggles with Esri satellite, Carto Positron, and OSM [these map layers require no API keys for light usage; Carto Positron is a nice road map layer and OSM is ugly but comprehensive] Add a globe/mercator projection toggle [I think the globe looks better at low zooms] Add a layer panel on the left with visibility checkboxes and delete buttons. How is that boring Nick Eh 30 ??? Coming from you, I think that's just bad faith. Given the amount of work we put into this map & the time you've spent "playing" it, your opinion is clearly not objective. There are literally a lot animated quests, a battle pass with seasons and lots of cosmetics to use inside... in short, everything to let players having fun & coming back, and this has been proven because it's been the most played Impostor map in discovery for over a year! When you're playing the map with over 5k viewers just to criticise our creation without even staying a whole round ; it's just strange. So I don't know if you had a reason to be like that on our map, but seeing you having fun later on maps that are much more boring (imo), I don't know how to take it...

Today at Yoast we’re shipping something I've actually wanted to see on the web for some time (even before working at Yoast) and am now honored to be part of the team to bring this to the masses... Built in collaboration with the Open Source and NLWeb team at Microsoft lead by R.V.Guha (co-creator of RSS, RDF and other web standards) - we're introducing the Schema Aggregation feature: a "schemamap" endpoint that outputs your site's entire structured data map in one place. ​ Under the hood, we now provide a standardised, deduplicated map of your entities via a single endpoint. An agent no longer needs to crawl all individual pages to understand its meaning but can now ingest an entire entity map with ease. ​ A few details to note about the endpoint: - It's is cacheable with sub‑100ms responses - It respects existing privacy and indexing settings - It aggregates all indexable content without navigation noise - It merges duplicate entities so your "Author X" or "Article Y" exist as a single node instead of being re‑discovered on every URL. - If you're using one of our paid plugins that extends schema even more (such as Yoast WooCommerce SEO adds product schema) this will be populated within the endpoint too - If you already extend Yoast’s Schema API, or use partners like events or recipe plugins, their entities are pulled into the same map automatically. ​ For me, this is one of the first major ways the agentic web can ingest a site at scale, and with much more efficiency and context. It has also been so much fun to work with this alongside the team at Yoast, particularly the genius mind of Alain Schlesser. Lastly, we have also launched a schema visualisation tool to view how everything is output. You can enable this feature today with the free version of Yoast SEO.

Speaking about this, Maharawal Chaitanya Raj Singh, titular head of the Jaisalmer Royal Family, says, "The map of the Maratha kingdom was shown extending into many ancient kingdoms of Rajasthan. The kingdom of Jaisalmer was 16 lakh square miles, and 40% of it is still in Pakistan. As far as our history is concerned, the Maratha kingdom had never come this far. Now, all the changes have taken place and I am very grateful for this. I am happy that this is the name and voice of history and Jaisalmer which can move forward for the people of Jaisalmer.
