Well yeah it can happen. That's a reticulated python. They usually let go when they realize it's not food, unlike say a Burmese which does exactly that. (Been there!) This girl was pretty hungry, I'll guess!

All you have to do is pour hot water or any type of alcohol onto their head & mouth. They’ll pop right off. This happened to me a few times.

maybe a suggestion .. Lube up the Arm/Hand with a Lube and some thing the snake doesnt like the taste of.
